How many summons can you have out at a time?

How many summons can you have out at a time?

I just started my first necromancer and I was wondering how many summons i can have out at a time? I was planning on going as a Skelemancer and not too sure of a good template (due to the boards crapping out). Say if I max Skele, Mage and Revive how many minions can I have out? Can I have the max that my skill will allow me of Skelies, Mages and Revives?

The max is only limited by the number of +skills you can get. In 1.1 they changed the number of minions necro can summon. After level 3 you only get a new skeleton with 3 more points, you get bonuses and stuff for more skill points, but it takes 3 points to get a new skeleton.

MAx skeleton first, while still having a few points in mastery. Eventually max mastery. Don't max revive, one point is sufficient (if that, in hell I hardly touch my revive hotkey). Put one in all your curses. The only ones that might want investing are the left hand side curses due to duration.

So i just want to max out Skele, Mage and Skele mastery? No revive? I really wish I would have started this character before the forums took a dump lol. Anyone know the skill layout for a good skelemancer?

If you maxxed out Skeletons, Mages, and Revives....you would have 9 of each (if I remembered correctly) without any + skills.

Though, trying to keep up with reviving 20 revives would be alot of work in my opinion.

Look at the Sticky in the top of the forum named Skellimancer Bible.

I looked at that sticky and it looked good and all but I wasn't too sure about poison nova. Didn't seem very viable to me. I guess I will just max Skele, Mage and Mastery and then see what else I can get later. What about Resist? How does Summon Resist help out with your summons? What bonus does it give to Skelies, Mages and Revives?

On my summoner(1.10) the largest number of creatures at the same time was 65.

17 skeleton warriors
16 skeleton mages
32 revives

Revives were not maxed.

Summon Resist gives your minions the stated bonuses to their resistances. Without SR they have 0 resist regardless of difficulty. With a few points they become quite durable to elemental attacks. The skill description describes it as a synergy, but aside from the stated resitances it doesn't do anything else, no hidden bonuses (there was a rumor about hidden bonuses some time ago).

You must have had uber +skills gc, becasue I have most of the best + gear and rs stuff, but I can only get 13 skellies with lvl 34 rs. You would have to have had like 48 lvl rs????? How?

as stated in the sticky up top it's just my suggestion. s-mancer's are way to darn easy, and you can have tons of leftover's.

basics:
max warrior
max mastery
5-10 ce
1 amp
1 cg
1 g res
1 sum res

done.

Now put the rest where you feel like. I put a table in my sticky on the # of skell's you get with levels. Imagine +1 skell per 3 slvl's. do the math.

All the best +skill equipment and an inventory full of +summoning skill charms I would guess.

don't forget you have a golem as well. Does a merc count too? I am going the skelimancer route as well just to try out a necro again. I haven't decided what to do with my leftovers yet. PN, BW, or SM all seem like fun but not necessarily something I would max.

+1 SoJ
+1 Arachnid Mesh
+1 Annihilus
+9 summoning skill charm
+20 skill points
= 45 RS, 44 RSM, 47 SM(Marrow)
