how long till lvl 90 ?

I want to have one lvl 90 character for cubing and gambleing (lvl 90 is needed for 2 skills right? )

How long can i expect it to take to go from 71 to 90 in hell baal runs?

You could do it in a day if you are a loser :) But 71-86 is really quick, then it's really not that bad til 90.

1-90 = one days "work". Yes work :p

You should not Baal run, it's too slow. Go solo exp in the good places instead. Much faster. Get to hell as soon as you can but save your Hell Ancient quest til you are 40 mil from level 90.

And I believe you only need to be level 84 to gamble +2 amulets :p

Getting to lv 90 was cake. I did it easily. Problem is almost everyone never made it to 90 before without rushing. Without the "quick" rush, most of you were lost.

Then they changed it with 1.1.. Used to be level 84 to gamble +2 to character skill level.

BTW you do keep in mind the level thingy is reduced with 6 when you gamble right?

what are the good places?

and with solo you mean solo in 8 player games i guess?
-I have a skelliemancer with only lvl 24 skellies, so he can solo, but not with other players in the game.

about the level for gambling and crafting 2 skills amulets, can anyone tell me for sure what level i need?

That might be right, but he means for crafting :)

I think you always get the chance for +2 skill from lvl 93 and upwards.

Yes, solo in 8p hell game. Necros are very bad for that purpose. Javazons are the ultimate choice if you're semi-rich. I'd make a Chainlightning Sorc and gogo Arcane Sanctuary. 50+ million exp at level 85 from 1 run 8p.

+2 class skills mod is lvl 90 so char level 84, combined with the +/-6 levels gambling dealie does offer a slim chance of obtaining a +2 necro skills amulet. +2 skill tabs are level 40; +3 are level 60 mods.

crafting formula is:"The ilvl of a Crafted Item is equal to half the level of the crafting character (rounded down) plus half the ilvl of the input item (rounded down). Put another way: ilvl = int(.5 * clvl) + int(.5 * ilvl)"

so for example obtaining a lvl 85 area amulet(42 'value' for crafting) would require a character level of 96(48 'value' for crafting) to obtain a +2 class skills mod(42+48=90).

reading is fundamental kids.
and Inu your chain lightning sorc is still a scary(good) thought, do you play anymore though or are you just waiting for a reset?

Ok, i have got it all now.

gambling: i lvl= c lvl -3/+6, so with lvl 84 you have a slight chance. with lvl 93 you wil surely have the chance of getting the lvl 90 mod.

crafting: since the numbers are rounded down, you need to be lvl 94 to craft gambled amulets (who will be lvl ** at least) this will grand i lvl 91.
clvl 93 will give ilvl 89 (87 gambled amu /2 = 43; 93/2 = 46)

So 94 it must be :(

i asume there is no legal way to know an items ilvl ? (meaning i would not need lvl 94 for the crafting by just using only the highest gambled amulets)

Oh one uncertainty remains here now: if i gamble an item,
will first the ilvl be decided (-3 to +6) and then the mods spawned with the options for that ilvl
OR
will the level for the mods be decided, then a mod be chosen, and if it is a very low mod, will the ilvl be as low as the mod? (so it could be much lower than your clvl)

At the moment I'm just waiting for a reset. Don't know if I will be very active though seeing as I gave away my computer to a friend :p We'll see..

And why are you just waiting for a reset?, you can't play now for some reason, or is your only reason to play the ladder?

Maybe it's just me, but seems like he asked a prety straight forword question about how much time and effort he would expect to expend to get to the lvl. I fail to see why he would be a "loser" doing it in a day.

my sorc does many meph runs thus i'm always getting full stashes of gold. i gamble rings/ammys a lot. my sorc is lvl 87 and i gambled a +2 pally ammy. so at lvl 87 it can be done. it was a decent one too. my hammerdin uses it. :)

as for getting to lvl 90... i find pit runs to be much more effective, easy, and sometimes even more rewarding :D

Correct. I'm making the (generalized) assumption that someone who could play this game all day would play the game all day on a regular basis. That person would in my opinion be a 'loser' of sorts. Have I offended you with my post or are you trying to find something to argue about?
