How Holy Freeze affects attack speed...

I was wondering how Holy Freeze lowers your attack speed.

If some monster or player has a level 12 Holy Freeze aura with 50% slow effect, then my movement speed is reduced by half and my attack speed is slowed as if I lost 50% IAS? By that I mean if I have a Breath of the Dying with 60% IAS, then a Holy Freeze aura will reduce my weapon IAS to 10%?

Also what if you have a weapon with no IAS, then how do you calculate the slow effect in terms of break-points (in this case I assume that my character's attacking speed goes down 1 or 2 break-points. For example, I think my Zealer's attack speed goes from 4 fps to 5 to 6 fps as he is slowed by Holy Freeze?).

Anyone familiar with the subject, please enlighten me.

I believe stephan recently had a post in this forum that explained the equations behind 'slow'. Try searching for threads within this forum that he's posted in and hopefully it should be in the first page or two of results.

Or, if you just want to know about how it affects your character without bothering with the exact details, you can play with the weapon speed calculator: http://diablo3.ingame.de/tips/calcs/speedcalc_titanseal/speedcalc_english.php
