How good is minion stack

lvl 92 fire druid wondering how good minion stack actually is. Should i continue to max out the last 3 fire synergies or get ravens wolves first? Im not to fond of baal runs so 95 is sort of a strech and 97 is probobly unreachable. anyways just wondering how good minion stack is and if i should get wolves before maxing fire synergies.

fair enough i guess ill take your word on it. Can someone please explain how minion stack works? After a tele am i immune to the next 5 hits cuz pets will take them? what about the splash effect on fireball, whirlwinds and aoe stuff like nova/blizzard.

Minion stack isn't 100% on the save. However, it greatly reduces the damage you take.

Things Minion Stack reduces damage on:

WW
Zeal
Fury
Smite *if they haven't nl you*
Charge *read above*
Projectiles *assuming no pierce*
FoH

Things Minion Stack doesn't protect against:

AOE Spells (Nova, Blizz, etc.)
Hammers
Piercing Projectiles
Rabies

Think that covers most of it.

minions will eat several hammers, a fundamental advantage wind druid have over hammerdins, one of the very very very classes that have a minor natural advantage created by innate skills and enigma.

Hammers have 100% pierce. They won't be eating anything. Unless you mean that they telestomp your summon and give you that inch of room to spam Nado and win.

I don't think windy's have any advantage over hammerdins. They lose to both range and damage, plus accuracy at that. All it takes is for the hammerdin to keep spamming and moving, and one false tele on some invisi hammers and your done. Tele'ing ontop a hammerdin is suicide too, it'd turn into a spam match but the hammerdin could most likely pressure the windy into losing much easier.

Any non retarded windy will obliterate all but absolute best hammers. Assuming equal skill druid will always win vs. pure hammer.
