How far naked Fishy build can go

    How far naked Fishy build can go

    Anyone else tried naked Fishy build (weaponless too)? How far you can go with it?

    My build can only wear leather gloves, boots, belt, rings and amulet, no mule, HC. Now he reached HELL, and stopped at act1 Blood Raven, just impossible to kill her. I guess NF said his build can beat game naked, but no one ever did it yet.

    Did you get a might merc (and are you allowed to outfit him with stuff?) You could also try decrep on blood raven to prevent her from running around so much.

    Use terror on all her minions to make them run, albiet slowly, or just amp/CE them when one goes down. And decrep BR.

    It doesn't work. Regroup my army around her is the "impossible" part.
    I do use Might merc and Decrep her, but without my army attack her, how can they kill her?

    I have explained the detail of trouble in my tournament post (my last post there), naked build doesn't have enough killing power (skelly lvl not high enough). blood raven simply out number my army, without killing power, there is no CE to use either.

    Note how important Teleport NF said in his Fishymancer 2.0 guide? my build doesn't have it (never found/gambled ring with teleport charge)! Also notice how important is skelly damage at high lvl, mine doesn't have either.

    One thing very very funny, at lvl70, I had one skill points "missing", I couldn't find it. I have 78 total pts (69+8+1), and if I hit lvl74 and get the pt in act2, I should have 73+8+2=83, which is one pt less to complete Fishy build.

    I have now:
    Summoning:
    20 Raise Skeleton (RS)
    20 Skeleton Mastery (SM)
    1 Raise Mage
    1 Clay Golem
    1 Blood Golem
    1 Iron Golem
    6 Revive
    1 Golem Mastery
    2 Summon Resist (SR)

    Poison & Bone:
    1 Teeth
    10 Corpse Explosion (CE)

    Curses:
    4 Amplify Damage (Amp)
    1 Dim Vison (DV)
    1 Attract
    1 Decrepify (Decrep)
    1 Confuse
    1 Weaken
    1 Terror

    unspend pts: 4

    Total: 53 + 11 + 10 + 4 =78 which is exactly what I should have.
    The next 4 lvl and act2 quest reward would add another 5, so where is the "missing" pt (already done the Dan of Evil)? :scratch:

    Never mind, found the pt, NF made a mistake in his guide as shown:

    57- 60: Revive (6)
    Tyrael: CE (3)
    60-70: CE (14)

    There are two lvl 60, so there is one duped pt.

    For an MF'ing skellimancer, its about as close to essential as you're going to get. I found Naj's Staff (69 tele charges) a while back and have used that on swap. To tele right next to that horrible mod boss and watch your entire army, all standing in one "area" attack it at once is amazing. It definately speeds up the killing process.

    maybe u could "lure" blood raven to a corner, (without your army) after that, u already opened a TP at that particular corner off course :uhhuh: go to the blood moor, summon an army and then its your army against blood raven alone... i used decrep on here which was perfect but if that doesnt work, try this perhaps, maybe it works who know :scratch:

    That is a GREAT idea. It´s called a portal jump and can simulate Teleport in a way. And start with what I always do: lure all the pre-existant undead away from Raven and kill them, so you only have to deal with the freshly raised ones. This luring move is easier to do without minions.

    i have a lvl 69 SC ladder fishy. Well he is not naked but all he wears is some helm and armor from act1 normal socketed with perfect topazes, mf rings, mf amulets, gambled mf boots and gloves....so he is kinda naked with no resist, no def, no block, no nothing :)

    He does just fine in the pit @ hell.

    .... or beat the game is not do all the quests , it's not impossible to rescue cain without killing blood raven in hell.

    And it's right blood is a real challenge for several builds in hell.

    If I left someone (boss) unkilled, I feel I didn't complete the game.

    Anyway, I just killed her 10 min ago. (took couple of try) I rushed her first, then lead her to center of the "garden" away from her army, ready to take her, then she made a deadly mistake, instead run away, she rised new undead around her, which helped me greatly, one guy down, CE CE CE CE CE ...

    I need some tactic help from experienced necromancer out there.

    After I cleaned the Pit, I had to think new tactic to keep my build alive. Every little guy in Hell is lethal. There were few times, I were lucky enough to Esc. My old "run close to boss -> regroup my army" does not cut any more. In NM, it is dangerous, in Hell, it is suicide. However, without the ability to direct my army, defeat Shaman (and alike) monster is impossible. My build also has big problem been out numbered in Hell, merc + 8 skelly + max 6 revive (most of them are usless due to their AI, golem got killed in no time) are far less than needed, someone can always sneak in, direct attack my necromance which already spoke few near death experience.

    Any good tactics out there?

    make sure you use attract often, or always ^^

    then you or your minions will never even get hit...

    Two problems:
    1. it doesn't work on champ/boss/OK, in small space, it speaks "Death".
    2. without +skills, it run out too fast, and there are always someone sneak in - anyone distant from attracted monster will directly run to my necromance.

    I use attract a lot, but need something extra.

    + skills shouldn´t be to much of a problem since most of the build should be finsihed early. Well that´s how i survive with my skellymancer that is close to naked and with only 1-2 + skills.

    Is your build SC or HC? I'm willing to complete the game in HC under restricted rules. The only way I could ever get any +skill is to find or cube a amulet with +skill & resist all. I value resist over all.
