How exactly does +% to maximum mana work now?

How do items that increase your maximum mana work? I know that it will not work on +mana you get from items, but will it multiply mana you get from +energy items? Is there anything you can get from equipment that it will multiply?

I would also like to know this. What is the order of calculation for +mana%, +mana, and +energy items? I've also heard +mana gets added after +mana% items. But what about the +mana% from Battle Orders, does that multiply or add with the +mana% items? Appreciate any info.

Maximum mana = ((base_energy * ClassBonus) + mana) * (1 + (+% mana)) + ((+energy from items) * ClassBonus)

ClassBonus:
Amazon : 1.5
Assassin : 1.5
Barbarian : 1
Druid : 2
Necromancer : 2
Paladin : 1.5
Sorceress : 2

+% mana includes the bonus from Battle Orders and +% mana from items. They add.

Just tested it to make sure since I've been hearing +mana items get added after +% mana, but it turns out you're right. I tested +energy and Battle Orders too and it seems the formula you gave is perfect. Thanks a lot!

Oh, almost forgot, we might want to include the +mana bonus per level characters get as well as starting mana to get a perfect formula for calculating mana. So the formula would look like:

Maximum mana = ((BaseEnergy - StartEnergy + Level - 1) * ClassBonus + ItemMana + StartEnergy) * (1 + PercentMana / 100) + ItemEnergy * ClassBonus

Where:

BaseEnergy = amount of Energy without items

ClassBonus =
Amazon : 1.5
Assassin : 1.5
Barbarian : 1
Druid : 2
Necromancer : 2
Paladin : 1.5
Sorceress : 2

ItemEnergy = total "+X to Energy" and "+X to All Attributes" gained from items

ItemMana = total "+X to Mana" gained from items

Level = character's level

PercentMana = total "Increase Maximum Mana X%" gained from items and skills

StartEnergy = amount of Energy the class starts with:
Amazon : 15
Assassin : 25
Barbarian : 10
Druid : 20
Necromancer : 25
Paladin : 15
Sorceress : 35

Thanks! That's exactly what I needed.

I worked it out, and with my equipment, I need have a base energy of 597.5 in order to achieve a perfect regeneration rate to match my level 30 fireball at 9 fps.

That's too many points, so I'll just keep base energy and drink a lot of mana potions :p.

Heh, seems you wanted to know for the same reason I did- I wanted to figure out the amount of +mana items and energy points I'd need in order to use a level 9 Teleport at 9 frames non-stop without losing mana. Now that I know +Mana items are included with +% Mana I can afford to lose about 30 points in Energy. :yep:

No problem :)

And I did forget the +mana per Clvl...:bonk:

Could you post this in the 'FAQ', it's been unstickied. It's somewhere on page 2.
