    How does points into resist lightning affect resists passively?

    i was just wondering how it would work... if someone would be kind enough to explain to me i would be very much greatful... :)

    +1 to Max Light Res for every 2 HARD points.

    I.E. once you've invested 20 points in it, your Max Light Res is now 85.

    but when an item gives +5 to max already, then it still raises right?

    passive bonus = 0.5 maximum lightning resistance per every TRUE skill point invested in it, this stacks on top of any additional pluses to maximum lightning resistance on your gear.
