how does -def on conviction work?
it doesnt seem to take as much defense off as its supposed to...
someone tell me!
Conviction substracts -% def from monster. Maybe your AR is still low and it isn't a great difference after all, but Conviction works as the skill explains.
PS: Note that your new chance to hit is not reflected in your char screen.
but how about pvp? i tried it on my friend who had 12000 defense, and conviction only made it 11000 defense
If that is true, it means that Conviction only takes off -% of base defense. So if your Conviction takes -70%, but your enemy got +360% enhanced defense, his total % enhanced defense will be +290%.
I think that is what is happening here, but exact numbers would help a lot. (Your Conviction level, Enemy's base defense and his total +% enhanced defense).
conviction just subracts a percentage from the total defense including enhanced, so it won't do much against pallys with holy shield on.
pally with level 32 HS on has
100% base defense
= 590% total defense
level 20 conviction lowers defense 90%
590% - 90% = pally still has 500% defense. conviction only lowers his defense by about 1/6th.
of course against classes that don't have enhanced defense it really does reduce their defense 90% (100% base - 90%).
i thought it had the same nerf on it that eth runes had in pvp(all -def by a % did i thot)
