How does Andy bug really work????

Yeah, I have searched the forum , even with google, but they seem to have different opinions lol!:scratchchin:

Let me try and say from what I remember from my old playing days, this is how you glitch andy:

Kill andy, get quest, talk do cain, save and exit. Then, new game, talk to warriv and go to act 2. Correct?

Hum, someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the bug works if it's the other way around.... i.e. kill andy, then talk to warriv/travel to act2 before exiting game?

according to some SP'ers it's: kill andy and talk to warriv straight away. then the bug will work even if you don't get to act2, you just have to have talked to warriv after you killed andy the first time

Ah....lol to make things even more confusing, I just remembered that after killing Andy, you can't create a tp but instead you have to wait for the automatic tp .... Yeah to be honest I think this is what you ahve to do coz my memory about D2 is better now!:

Kill andy --> wait until the automatic TP --> enter TP and talk to Warriv --> go to act 2 and SaveNExit

You summsarized it quite well. AFAIK you don't have to use the automatic TP, but it won't hurt using it.

Krischan's correct. As in Hrus's link (which I link all the time), it doesn't matter which portal you take. All you have to do is talk to Warriv in the same game you kill Andariel for the first time.

What's confusing about Aien's post?

You only need to talk to Warriv at some point after killing Andy and before exiting the game. If you talk to other NPCs or not, go to act 2 or not, drink some beer or not, it all doesn't matter.

You only need to do one thing (talk to Warriv) at a specific time (after killing Andy for quest, before exiting the game). Why people make this far more complicated than it is I'll never know.

Of course you can. The TP has nothing to do with bugging Andy.
