How does a "friends" list work??

Please explain how to set up and use a friend list.

I do know how to "whisper" by using /w *account name, which then sends to message in green font to the person if logged on, but my questions are as follows:

    1) How do you send a message to multiple people on a friends list?, a person I was in a game with recently said he was going to add me to his friends list, and now every once and a while I see a message pop up in green that is not directed to me personally, so it must have been sent to multiple people.

    2) After I set up a friends list where do I save it on my computer so that it will work later?

    3) What is the correct syntax to use to make the list work?

    Please advise, Thanks

    i'll try and help

    1) /f m <type message> will send a message to everyone on your friend list

    2) its saved with your bnet account. everytime you log onto bnet with that account your friend list will be there. However, each list is specific to each account. So if you have multiple accounts and you want someone to be listed on all you'll have to add him to each of you accounts seperately

    3) /f l list your friends
    /f a <account> add's someone to your friend list
    /f r <account> removes someone
/f m <messag> sends a message to all your friend
    /m %fx <message> sends a message to a specific friend

hope that helps. www.battle.net has more information if you need it

    Friend list stuff :
(where < > is shown, do not actually type < > just whatever is specified inside the < >

/f l (will show who is in your friend list, if any.

    /f a <account name> adds account to friend list

    /f r <account name> Removes account from friend list

/f d <account name> demotes (or moves down one line) an account in friend list

/f p <account name> promotes an account or moves it up one line in friend list ( i think /f p is the correct one ?)

/f msg <message> sends whatever message is typed to everyone that is online in your friend list ...regardless of which Blizzard game is being used.

To talk to someone specific, and not everyone, use /msg <account name>
