How do you prior your MF-chararcter?

    Hi

    This is my Sorceress

    MF:387
Damage: 4997-5232 (blizzard slvl 33) add a 155% (slvl 28) CM to it
    Resist: 48/83/75/75

Before I changed her, she had 500+ MF but she only did 3,5k and had 75/75/75/75...but her killing speed was much lower than now =P

I used 500+ in MF before but she only had 3,5k dm with blizzard then so I changed her. Rhyme was replaced with Spirit, Goldwrap with Snowclash, Chance Gloves with IK-gloves (to wear Spirit)

I plan to get Nightwings Veil for more cold-damage and socket it with a facet. ^^ then her MF will lower to a bit over 300 and her damage will raisea lot more ^^

How much damage do your char do, how much MF and how much is his/her resist? which plans do you have for her/him?

Re: How do you prior your MF-chararcter?

lvl95 pure blizzsorc for Pindle only, 667mf at the moment, I need some more 7mf charms to improve her mf a bit more. Plans are now quite low, because of my next character..

lvl93 blizzballer, for everywhere in the game. Now, he is my participant in MF Pentathalon and she has done pretty well, compared to her MF. Usually she carries only 39mf (Gheed's) because other gear is more leaned on killing speed. She will be my attempt to lvl 99er, so I'm not looking for finding much with her.

lvl92 Hammerdin, retired. Had approx 200-300mf when I ran him at Pindle and Mephi and Pits at the beginning of my SP Career.

Sorry, I don't give any exact damage numbers, because I don't have them available now. But pure Blizz's damage is not as high as bassens, but you don't need much damage for Pindle. Blizzballer has about 6k FB and 4k Blizzard. Hammerdin has no damage

Re: How do you prior your MF-chararcter?

    Nayuki, Level 92 Blizzard sorceress.

    Setup 1: AT/Meph/Pindle/WSK.
    MF: 355.
Damage: 3960-4188 Blizzard. 1029-1093 Glacial Spike. 145% CM.
    Resists: 75/75/75/75.

    Setup 2: Baal.
    MF: 191.
Damage: 5996-6279 Blizzard. 1337-1415 Glacial Spike. 145% CM.
    Resists: 56/78/49/67.

Using Nightwing's Veil instead of Harlequin Crest will cost you quite a bit of life and mana. BEWARE. As for me, I could probably squeeze in a little more MF (by a little, I mean 80-100), but it doesn't seem all that necessary.

Re: How do you prior your MF-chararcter?

my sorceress is 5000-5200 blizz, -135 cold resist i think.

    It has 105% FCR, 380% MF , 75 75 75 75 resists, 1050 HP, 18% dmg reduction, 630 mana, and about 65% FHR.

I use all my 6-7% mf SC's, CoH , hoto, spirit , shako with topaz, arach, magefists, nagel + nagel , cow kings boots, 1 gheeds and 1 cold skiller, Tals amulet, and 3x4 spots open in inventory :)

First of all, having full resist's and 380% means I'm comfortable with my MF and don't bother switching out MF gear for Baal etc, I always wear the same. 105% FCR helps alot me, so I usually keep magefists + arach on.

I sometimes put on more mf gear for pindleskin and meph, but most of the time I prefer wearing the same set everywhere ( except merc which changes between reaper and insight )

Edit: I don't have 380% on main switch, I have just around 310% on hoto/spirit mainswitch, and a gull dagger and a rhyme if need be on the other.

Usually carrying harmony or bonehew for CI, though ;p

Re: How do you prior your MF-chararcter?

I'm pretty happy with my set-up although I would like a Shako eventually so I can stick a perfect Topaz into it. Also, perhaps the orb that is a step up from the Occy (deaths fathom?)

    Level **
Blizz Damage: 3798-4006 (four skillers and all of the plus skills on my equipment doe the trick.)

    Res: 75/53/75/48

MF: 501 (127 from my Gheeds and other charms the rest from my equipment below)

    Equipment:
    Helm: Tarnhelm with a PTopaz
    Orb: Occy
    Sheild: Rhyme
Boots:Rares mostly for cold/poison resist but it has 9% MF. I really want an upgrade here with a combo of Cold Poison/FRW/MF, but that may be beyond reality.
Gloves: rares with lots of fire resist and MF
    Belt: Perfect Tal-Rasha
Armor: Tal-Rasha with a PTopaz socketed
    Amulet: Tal-Rasha
Rings: Rare resist ring with high percentages and a Scintillating ring of Fortune.

If I found some new boots and gloves that had exactly what I was looking for, I could maybe switch out my rings for a Nagel or even bulk up damage with Bul-Kathos, but I'm pretty satisfied with what I have now.

Re: How do you prior your MF-chararcter?

I have blizzsirc lvl95 with 5000-5244 dmg of blizzard and 552MF . I have low resist but now I am running meph so resist does not need. In WSK I had 374MF, same damage with 75/85/75/75 res. and 75% poison lenght reduced

    E-peen contest!

    Mine is totally bigger.

    The sorceress, however:
(Numbers all based on whether or not GoMule can count, which is based on whether or not I can count, which I can't).

    Sparky:

    Level 89
    622 MF
    Resistances - Barely 0!
    Life: 1878, Mana: 969
    Damage:
    Blizzard: 5520 - 5772
    Glacial: 1317 - 1390
    Cold mastery: 160%

Resists? Who needs resists, you're a sorc!

Re: How do you prior your MF-chararcter?

I thinkin of change my Blizz-MF-Sorc a bit, cut the resist and go for much more MF if possible, I mean I could focus on +skills and MF, 387 seems a bit little compared to a few persons here :O

    Edit (add):

I just took tthe time for me to run HellMeph at /players8 (from the time I take WP to I kill him, pick items S&E and get back to WP)

    = 1:10

    Is that good or bad?

Re: How do you prior your MF-chararcter?

No, Gheed's Fortune was introduced with the 1.10 patch, and has always had Magic Find between 20% and 40%. I assume the claim of 127% is a typo, and it is really 27%. Either it's a typo, or it's a hack. I have no reason to believe it's a hack, nor would i wish to accuse anyone of hacking.

Edit: The below poster makes a good point, the 127 seems to be from Gheed's in addition to other charms.

Re: How do you prior your MF-chararcter?

Run Mephisto at players 1 or players 3. No real point in going any higher.

lOL. If you read what the original poster (lukin) said carefully, you'll see that he meant that ALL of his charms (including the Gheed's) add up to 127% MF.

EDIT: Just did a test run. Took 29 seconds for the entire run. Ironically, he dropped a Gheed's.

Re: How do you prior your MF-chararcter?

Well, i mostly follow the rule:. Get up to about 300 MF, then get to the 105 fcr breakpoint, then add as much damage as you can. If that leaves some room for a bit more mf, yay.

My blizzy had about 400 MF, 105 fcr and about 6.5-7k damage. Lightning and cold resist where 75, very nice if you run AT.

Re: How do you prior your MF-chararcter?

I Don't hack and (and since this is an E-peen thread) frankly I don't need to.
I thought it was more clear, but yes the 127 MF was from all of my charms. The Gheeds is only 37% add to that lots of 7% and 6% charms including my greatest treasure (the one thing that has been on all of my characters anyway) my perfect Amber Small Charm of Good Luck (11% lightning res/7% MF).

The gheeds however, is very nice and I was lucky to get such an awesome roll on my first and so far only.

Re: How do you prior your MF-chararcter?

I just did a major change of my Blizzard Sorceress

before today I have never used any of Tal Rasha's Wrappings on her IIRC. But when I gave one set away I thought I needed to do some calculations:

    Code:
    Charms:
    84 (7%)
    42 (6%)
    37 (37%)
    = 163

Gear Full Tal's BATTLE MF: Blizzard 4,8k-5,1k (75/75/75/75)
    0 (weapon) T
    24 (helm) T
    0 (amulet) T
    0 (shield)
    112 (armor) T
    44 (boots)
    0 (gloves)
    15 (belt) T
    0 (ring)
    28 (ring)
    130 (Tal Rasha's Wrappings)
    = 353

after all those I see my ultimate build (possible build with my items) is a Full Tal Rasha's Wrappings-Sorceress with Spirit and WT's.

How why havent I used this before?

    *slapping myself silly*
