as long as the relative humidity is below ~90% there should be no problems with the feet drying themselves at room temperature and no bacteria colonies forming in the towels, munching on your dead skin

I just shower like normal and assume that the soapy water from bathing will clean my feet for me. Once a month or so, after a hot shower, I'll use a knife to scrape off all the dead skin from the bottom/sides of my feet. Not perfect but I don't have problems.
