How do you guys wash your feet?

It's kind of like washing your hands to the point where the skin dries and cracks. You shouldn't obsess over anything or you could do more damage than good.
This is a good one. Sometimes when I have a few friends over we drink a lot of sodas and so you end up having to run and take a piss like every 30 minutes and every time I wash my hands with soap and at the end of the night my hands feel really worn out.

Eh no. Circumcision is a religious tradition that went into common use without a practical reason.
Like other religious traditions such as not eating pork or shellfish it quite probably has some practical grounds behind those religious grounds.

Circumcision lost any practical use a long time ago back when things like cleaning yourself lost it's taboo status. Now days people try really hard to justify taking that knife to their baby's penis but despite all the research the best they have is "If you have a lot of unprotected sex with an HIV infected partner then you will catch HIV later if you're circumcised.

Meanwhile out of every 90.000 circumcisions done 16 of them end up fatal to the child. 0.5% of all circumcisions done have complications of which 0.2% are serious.

If you're referring to the US uptake, that seems to have rode upon a wave of pseudo-science and old wives tales certainly, many of which appear to survive. I was actually referring to the original Jewish uptake however. We haven't been big on circumcision in England since WW2, I'm certainly not circumcised and have no desire to be.

This again? Ew.

I just lift my feet in the shower and soap/rinse them.

It reminds me of when I used to work in a call center and this guy used to call in all the time absolutely facinated about his mother's panties to the point that no matter what he had to talk about them. I think Immortal has a "thing" for his feet and enjoys people talking about them.

I can almost hear the heavy breathing and splatter now, which means I need to go rupture my eardrums with an ice pick.

I really hope that splatter is just semen because in his case it could be so much worse.

Ok so I've been advised by my doctor to begin washing my feet when I'm in the shower. He prescribed me a special anti fungal soap to use but I'm having trouble getting the proper technique. I've thought about sitting down and washing my feet, benefits are I get the use of both hands and have no risk of falling, but it takes more time and feels kind of strange. Not to mention sitting in a pool of shower water is kind of gross. The other way I was trying was standing on one foot and washing that one, then repeating with the other. It's more hygenic and I dont feel weird like when sitting, but I need to brace one hand against the wall to keep from falling. So it goes slower and is potentially dangerous.

What do you guys do?
Foot fungus is an overrated problem. It's not deadly, it's not even as contagious as people say and sometimes the cure is worse than the actual fungus.
However if I were given a special soap by a doctor because for some reason the fungus were taking over my life, I'd not even attempt to use it in the shower in order not to break my neck. I wear glasses so it would be a bit of a trick for me anyways, same reason as why I don't shave my legs under the shower. I'd probably wash 'm afterwards, sitting down somewhere, if necessary with a bucket of water, to avoid a mess.

Oh wait, you asked "what do you guys do". Forget my answer then.

"Why did the mushroom enjoy going to parties?
Because he was a fun-ghi"

It doesn't matter. If foot fungus was such a big problem, our ancestors would not have survived without bathtubs. Of course, they did.

It's kind of like "wash your sheets once or twice every week or else dust will cause respiratory problems."

Ok...so why aren't we all dead since almost no one does this? It's just a lot of fear and silliness.
I actually do wash my sheets every week, but I never heard that tale of dust and respiratory. I wash 'm because well I don't walk around in the same clothes for a week either.

Hygiene aside I work in a job that involves a lot of washing hands and more than once my hands have burst open for exactly that reason: having to wash 'm too often. Ouch.

OK, this will sound silly, but it works. Our backyard has a concrete porch with a rough texture. Every once and a while I walk barefoot around it and the rough texture actually sloughs off the dead skin off of my heels. I have to drag me feet a bit. Then when I take a bath, I use a scrub brush on my feet and toes.

Another important part is to ALWAYS DRY YOUR FEET after washing them. The moisture contributes to fungus. Also, make sure your feet see a lot of sunlight. The UV rays helps kill the fungus. Lastly, a little Listerine mouthwash is good for killing foot fungus. Massage it into your feet and wait 30 seconds before getting in the shower.

I do not have any foot fungus. I consider all this preventive maintennence and it seems to be working.

Re: How do you guys wash your feet?

I truely believe all of this is unnecessary. Just stand there in the shower and ignore your feet altogether. The soapy water runs down your body to your legs (due to Van der Wal forces and hydrogen bonding causing the water droplets to cling to you, then gravity pulls it all down) and the feet get a good cleaning without you really doing anything to them. Since you are going to rinse anyway, the clean soap-free water also runs down to your feet and rinses them.

Then, your towel will slough off some of the dead skin as your dry yourself off. Easy.

Rubbing alcohol and fluoride into your feet is going to make them crack like porcelain.

I read up some on the wiki page.

Urinating

Members of the US Military have used the method of urinating on the infected foot in the shower to get rid of the infection. It has proven non-effective.[citation needed]

I like how people demand a source that it doesnt work. Should'nt people be providing a source to claim that it does work?
