How do you guys wash your feet?

Ok so I've been advised by my doctor to begin washing my feet when I'm in the shower. He prescribed me a special anti fungal soap to use but I'm having trouble getting the proper technique. I've thought about sitting down and washing my feet, benefits are I get the use of both hands and have no risk of falling, but it takes more time and feels kind of strange. Not to mention sitting in a pool of shower water is kind of gross. The other way I was trying was standing on one foot and washing that one, then repeating with the other. It's more hygenic and I dont feel weird like when sitting, but I need to brace one hand against the wall to keep from falling. So it goes slower and is potentially dangerous.

What do you guys do?

I hike up my pants, step in the tub, and turn on the water. I put my feet under the running water then let it soak a bit. Add soap if desired. Then I use one foot to rub and scrub the other. Rinse. Check feet to see if they're actually clean before exiting. Dry with towel.

When I shower soap water runs down on my feet.

Occasionally I scrub the bottom side with some sand paper and water.

It doesn't matter. If foot fungus was such a big problem, our ancestors would not have survived without bathtubs. Of course, they did.

It's kind of like "wash your sheets once or twice every week or else dust will cause respiratory problems."

Ok...so why aren't we all dead since almost no one does this? It's just a lot of fear and silliness.

sitting down in the shower rocks, especially if you have a bath tub and let it fill up a bit d> -_-

Thanks! I think I'll try this technique. I dont like getting my pants wet, but it seems to be the best method suggested.

You're essentially sitting in a puddle of your own excremement. It defeats the whole purpose of showering in the first place.

How do you wash the bottom of your feet in this case? And doesnt bending over like that prevent the water from hitting your feet?

Do you have a bathtub or is it purely a shower? If its a tub, you could just sit on the edge of the tub with your feet going into the water.

You **** in the shower? leave the drain open mine drains faster than it runs, Rinse your body use soap if your really dirty, now sit, it's wet clean porcelain, wash feet. stand and finish shower.

It's not that hard.

I lift my foot up and wash under it. How in the hell is this difficult? Water doesn't have to hit your feet every nanosecond. You just have to make sure you wash them. How have you managed to live this long without figuring out how to wash yourself?

I was told that the soap/medicine is caustic if left on the skin too long.

I think people like you IK are why I don't have a foreskin.
Doctors instituted a practice of removing it due to too many infections under it from people that were not taught simple (but apparently not as common as I thought) sense about bathroom etiquette on issues like how to wash ever part of your own body properly in a safe and reasonable manner.
As I am one of those injured by it I think I am going to start a thread.

Thats the Excuse that they gave parents in the USA (I don't buy the idea Jewish doctors pushed it, it just became policy )

I believe the fungus may be a result of overdoing it. I believe some people are too eager to be clean, so they hop in every shower at every friend's house and take too many locker room showers (one locker room shower is too many imo). This of course, increases your chances of getting athlete's foot or whatever infection.

It's kind of like washing your hands to the point where the skin dries and cracks. You shouldn't obsess over anything or you could do more damage than good.

I just kinda stand up on one foot and wash the other. Top, bottom, toes. Its not that hard.
