How do you feel about this site?

I agree that people should have adequate counsel in their defence in a court of law. I am worried, however, that the tone of the website and that kind of firm sets the general public's mind that driving impaired isn't really all that bad, just getting caught and convicted is.

I'm also in favour of punishing drunk drivers with summary execution, but that's a different case.

it's simple.. dont be an idiot and drink and drive. It's your own damn fault if you get caught.

I have to agree with Der Pink Furher, though I am all in favour of people knowing their rights in regard to the law I am not too sure about the tone of the site.

Essentially, the vide that I get is that:

1) If you provide a positive response you may not be DUI anyway, *shrug*

2) Any decent trial lawyer can get you off whatever.

It seems that there is a lack of 'taking responsibility' for your actions and decisions you made, and making use of technicalities to get off (when both you and your defence lawyer know you are guilty).

I am a bit more lenient than Anakha, I only advocate castration for DUI charges. Death is reserved for those that defend said miscrients and people that design absolutely awful websites.

Hrm... can you execute someone twice?

Others offer you the chance to be tested “the easy wayâ€, by blowing into a breath machine, and if you try to resist, you can be PHYSICALLY wrestled to the ground, beaten, choked or even strapped to a table or gurney so that blood can be drawn from your body or urine can be extracted through a catheter inserted in your penis or urethra.
I got to this point, then the site made my head hurt

"Every state in America has penalties relating to the "refusal" (love those quotes) to submit to an officer's requested blood tests, breath tests, urine tests or other test(s) (each state's requirement depends on state law). "

Gosh, where I come from, you have to sign a form saying that you WILL submit to a breathalyzer test if asked by a police officer, you KNOW BLOODY WELL that you will be prosecuted for refusal to do so in addition to anything else, and that EVEN IF YOU REFUSE, they can and probably will have you arrested for the refusal and taken to the station, where they will do a blood test, before you're allowed to touch your driver's license.

Damn clear, Ms. Granholm; refusal is not an option.

Well, as the site is primarily an advertisement for a lawyer referal service, it is a near given that they would make that point. One thing that I liked about this site (and while I'm hardly a danger to society, I have been known to imbibe and drive; although only if I only had a few drinks to begin with, and a bit of time to sober up) is that it seems that certain "unpopular" crimes are treated as if due process of the law is more of an inconvenience than a right, and its nice to see that it is still possible for someone to get an advocate who will plead your case competently and thoroughly.

Personally, if you drink and drive and then get caught, I have no sympathy for you and hope they kill you in the face for it.
