??How Do I Mule On The Realms??

ask people on forums to help you xfer it to a mule, or just wait for 5 minutes or more in a game and do it yourself. I wouldn't recommend waiting if the realms are laggy/the items are really valueable.

Yeah, I agree. I usually make a private, passworded game and play for ten minutes or so, just to be safe. Then drop the items, and quickly bring in your new character to pick them up.

Be sure not to use game names like Baalrun, Act3, Freeitems, etc that people typically type.

Also, to repeat, if the realms are buggy or slow, do not do it.

No trusted friend to help you on realm?

1)Make a password private game
2)Type /time - check bnet/pc time
3)Take a 5 mins coffeee break
4)Come back , type /time again
5)If more then 5 mins, you are quite safe to throw your items n leave.
6)Bring in a mule char to collect your items .

NOT "quickly" but s... o s... l... o... w... l... yyyyy  . If you do it quickly and enter the game with several mules one after one you risk that your connection will be interrupted, you can´t enter BN under 15 - 20 min and (of course) lose all your items on the ground.

Self muling

For self muling I usually:

1) Start a passworded game,
2) Type "/time" when I start,
3) Go play for 10 minutes (do some MF runs or something - that's why almost all my mules are either NM or hell enabled, so I'm not stuck doing normal runs)
4) Check to make sure at least 5 (or 7 or 10) minutes have passed. 5 seems to be the agreed minimum.
5) Goto act 1 (cuz just the chest and starting location is close).
6) Leave the game.
7) Come back to make sure I can.
8) Drop off the stuff I want to mule.
9) Leave, and enter the game with the mule. Don't be FAST, but you don't need to be SLOW either. Bnet put in code to prevent robots from entering/exiting games too fast, but surely if you switch characters in a normal fashion you'll be ok.

I've been doing this a lot and I've been fine. Of course, I only do it when the net is stable. I've lost an item once this way though.

To run 2 copies of Diablo, you need 2 computers or some hack. I rather not install hacks on my machine, so I just risk self muling.

Besides what everyone else has said, I will add my .02...

If you have multiple mules like I do, plan the trip before you start.
Plan on bringing a mule in to pick up whatever the most valuable item is first. Pick it up and leave, don't stand there admiring it again and reliving how you found it. Get it, and get out of there. If you want to look at it leave and come back. Rinse and repeat for the second most valuable item, etc...

If you have computer problems, make sure you can re-boot and be back up at the password window in less than the 5 minutes the game will stay open.

You would not be the first person to join a clan just so that they will have someone they can trust to help them mule.

I usually leave the game before dropping any items, just to make sure I can rejoin. If I find the game's been open long enough to achieve "persistance," then I drop my stuff, quit & go get another char. But yeah, that's the best way if you're playing alone.
