How do i make etherreal normal ?

Hi my first post and i am new to this...
can anyone help ?
I tried 3 gems, but nothing happens...

btw. i know one thing that can help make it sokceted and put a Zod on it...

socketing an eth item with a zod just makes the item indestructible....it will still be eth...the only weapon classes that can be used on mercs are...nonclass specific bows/spears/polearms/javelins/swords

There are a few recipes that will remove etherealness (e.g. crafting), but the mods will be rerolled, too. I guess that's not what you want to happen.

No merc can use maces.

Act 1 - bows (no crossbows, but amazon bows IIRC)
Act 2 - polearms and spears (no zon spears)
Act 3 - Swords and shields (no daggers, no paladin shields)
Act 5 - Swords
