How do I fix this problem

I have a lvl 80 zerker. And he is a friggin monster. I love him to death but I have one issue. He uses axes as his weapons, and I'm dropping over 500k a game to keep repairing the dang things. Sometimes alot more. When you figure in costs to repair armor once and a while and his other gear, he isn't doing much for me other then draining my supply.
Now I do have two open 6 socket phase blades. Should I just remake him with swords and trade off the axes? Or does anyone have a more cost effective way of keeping him as is.

use an ort rune to repair it instead... what weapon are u using lololol

use indestructable weapons?

Oath, Death, BotD and a few others come to mind.

&/or get non-superior weapons to make your runewords in.

For barbs, Death and BotD are generally the accepted "best" pvm weapons, with high leech, fast speeds, Crushing Blow, Deadly strike, and most importantly: indestructibility. None of them do as much damage as a Grief, but with pvm, they are very viable.

why're you using 2x one handed weapons with zerk?

Hi,

Unless there is something I don't understand the high cost comes completely from using superior weapons. Get rid of the superiors or use indestructible as mentioned above and your problems should go away. Probably a little too late now - also note your damage will decrease too - that's the payoff.

For Berserk skill, 'death' is the most powerful weapon type due to the high deadly strike percentage. Try trading for or making a decapitator or glorious axe for godly damage and simply 1 hit kill in 8 player chaos.
