How am I supposed to win PvP as a Zealot?

How am I supposed to win PvP as a Zealot?

I am lvl 84, I have max Zeal, Holy Shield, Fanat, Sacrifice and I am in the process of maxing Defiance. I have about 3k hp when I use Cta and max block, 50% damage reduction.

I move towards a hammerdin, he blocks my Zeal or I get him to 1/4 hp, his hammer 1 shots me?

Barbs just whirlwind me and I die with eaze, lightning Sorc 1 shot me even though I have 80 resistance in lightning?

Is this game just completely broken or am I doing something wrong? don't get me wrong, my damage seems to be quite a lot but I just seem to die in 1 hit.

My gear is as follows

Gore Rider boots
2 x Angelic rings
Draculs gloves
Grief Phase Blade

When fighting different classes you must change your gear and tactics accordingly to match their offense. With the gear you have, having access to different gear changes in your stash shouldn't be an issue.

Maxing Defiance will help greatly against melee characters like the WW barb. Remember to be walking while dueling melee characters also to take advantage of the max block you have. Your AR may also be low and you may be missing a lot with your Zeal. Try Demon Limb (or the sword with Enchant) on switch for Enchant with your Angelic ring/ammy combo. Also try using Smite (hopefully you put one point here) to use with your Grief Phaseblade/HoZ. This will stun melee characters long enough to finish with Zeal.

Against Lightning attackers use a Lightsaber/Thunder God Belt/Wisp Projector ring combo to help absorb some lightning (unless it is bad manners in your agreed upon duel). Same idea for other types of elemental attackers.

When dueling Hammerdins or Bone Necs try obtaining some magic reduction gear to help ease the pain of their magic attacks. You have plenty of damage reduction for physical attackers, why not plan out magic reduction gear for magic attackers. Try using Charge at times as a surprise attack, and use Smite to stun them also.

He has to have a point in Smite as he has Holy Shield. Swap out 1 Angelic ring for a Ravenfrost. Might also think about swapping out some gear(fort for enigma) so you are able to tele, telesmite/zeal is quite nice in most duels.
