horadric cube

hi,

Can I craft with horadric cube any useful item for a Werewolf?

I already have a lot of perfect gems.
I already have prismatic amulet.

You have to search the game for them. Each monster has a chance to drop uniques depending on where the monster is (what section).

What most people do is create a character specifically for this purpose (Meteorb, Hammerdin, Fishymancer, Blizzballer). These characters then "run" certain act bosses (Mephisto, Baal, Diablo, Andariel) or areas (World Stone Keep, Chaos Sanctuary, River of Flame, The Pits). When performing these runs the character has as much equipment with bonuses to Magic Find as possible without sacrificing killing speed.

While you many not find anything on the first run or two, eventually uniques and set items will drop that you can use to equip all of your characters.

Re: horadric cube

There is no one "best" character. Generally speaking, sorceress' are popular due to their Teleport skill, which can get her to a target very quickly. I've found that for me, the best character is one I enjoy playing. In the long run, if I enjoy playing a character, I will play it more, resulting in more items dropping.

Perfect gems are also very useful for trading, as they can be used in crafting and rerolling the stats of magic items. (Grand Charms are very popular for this purpose, as any Grand Charm that drops in the Nightmare Flayer Jungle or later can add +1 to a skill tree. GrandCharms dropping from Hell Diablo, Nihlathak, and Baal are especially valuable, as they can carry a plus to skills, and an additional plus to life of 41 - 45. If you find a +1 to paladin combat skills with +45 to life, you can pretty much view it as a blank check on the realms.)

Re: horadric cube

Generally crafting at so low level is usually ineffective, the chance to get four rare affixes is quite low and you will miss a lot of desirable mods. If you trade, keep the pgems to trade some basic unique items. Aldur's Rhythm is quite a bad weapon for Fury. Weapon is your main concern with physical builds.

Right now you can easily: Make a Rhyme runeword in some (light class) shield. Just run NM countess few times. If you want to craft right now, try blood gloves with crushing blow. You can get better belt by shoopping at vendors and try to gamble for better rings and amulet...

can you tell me if it is good enough for hell levels and what should I improve on my hero?
No, he's not. He is week for Hell Blood Moor, he would be slaughtered to death by the first fallen bosspack and he would not be able to kill a first regular hell zombie.

what is a good weapon? And where can I get one?

what that means?

What kind of belt/amulet/rings should I look for?
Current amulet seems pretty good to me?

If this werewolf wouldn't be good enough on hell, maybe I should start a new one.

Runewords (Arreat Summit)
For Rhyme you need only Shael and Eth runes, Shael can be dropped by NM countess - a quest superunique monster in act 1 in Forgotten Tower. She is known for high chance to drop medium runes.

Good weapon is the one with high damage and fast (naturally fast + with IAS). Werewolves are good with 2h weapons, one of the best cheap weapon for werewolf is acually unique XBow Buriza do Kyanon (which can be traded for Pgems I think). They can do well onehanded too, but Aldur's Rhythm is quite slow and with low damage. What rune did you get from NM hellforge? Maybe you can make Black runeword or something. If you don't trade, you pretty much depend on your own. Well do few Mephisto runs, maybe Baal runs, see of something good doesn't drop. In my experience, it's good to level your character to lvl ~80 before you advance to hell, so defintily do Baal runs until you get to that point.

Well your belt has only +60 life, you can shop for one with at least resist+life. On rings and amulets, look for resists, AR, leech, life, +DEX, +STR. +skills are nice, but not so important for werewolf.

Werewolf is quite a good build, it's the gear that need serious work now. (Melee builds are more dpendant on the gear, you can't do much about that)

Maybe read some Werewolf guides in druid forum. And take a look at werewolf weapon speed calculator (should be linked from every decent guide).

EDIT: The good accessible weapo for you might be an Insight runeword. Slow, but if inserted in elite polearm, you will get a lot of damage.

I have two +30 resistance rings for each kind of damage as you can see.

armor/helmet/gloves:
What kind of items should i look for(that I can afford that is)?

weapon:
where can I trade XBow Buriza do Kyanon(or even something better if I can get)

Re: horadric cube

Well, later in the game, almost all monsters (almost all bospacks) have some form of added elemental damage, so it's good to have all resistances high at one time. Most important are lightning, cold, then fire, then poison.
As a melee character, you need armor with damage reduction (Shaftstop) or an offensive mod - for example added damage or crushing blow (Fortitude runeword for richer, Duress for medium rich). Defense is not so important, it's good to have some, but it doesn't matter so much...
For amulets and rings I already wrote most desirable mods
For gloves, again resistances, life +STR,+DEX... You don't need IAS for Werewolf (he uses only the IAS on weapon)

For trading, it depends on where you play. I suppose you play Single Player. There is a SP trade forum here with extended rules. You can trade / move items on SP via program called Atma (see the SP trade forum stickies). If you play on BNet, use the appropriate forum for trading.

Re: horadric cube

what about runes. Should i make Rhyme or wait to get more runes and make something else? What good item can I get out of runes? Just fortitude or duress? N melee weapon? So I have to stick with this one until I get Buriza.

Re: horadric cube

You don't have to wait to make Rhyme, the runes required are pretty easy to get. Out of your runes, you can make Insight (good merc weapon for now, maybe even for you) - again cheap runes so you could make another one if you find better basic item (If you play original Single Player, Insight doesn't work as well as Fortitude). I would also consider Black runeword (Thul-Io-Nef).
Now go read some werewolf guides in druid forum (you will find some in stickies). You can also read through SPF mat/pat compilation to see what items people use...

Re: horadric cube

so if I understand correctly i need three things:

- more gems and unique items (to trade them for what i need)
- good sock table items (so i can put runes in)
- and runes

Noodle would like to know if you are playing Single Player or on closed Battle.net. If you are playing Single Player, Noodle would be happy to help you out with some better equipment.
