I thought that they nurfed the exp the say a lvl 10 could get with someone lvl 75 ect. (Like the old days doing hell cows with a lvl 10 lol!!) Whats the point of getting rushed then?

Most People want to be Rushed so they can skip the entire game and Do stuff that Requires high levels etc... i.e. MF'ing or Dueling. the rest of the people are just mindless followers who know nothing about the game and eventually will become super "l33t Pwn.." people who are really annoying...

In 1.10 they did take some time to try to abolish Rushing but all they did was make it a bit longer and difficult...

Its still nice to get rushed through the useless acts, act 1, act 2, act 3, act 4 then just lvl in act 5. This applies for nightmare and hell. In normal its bright to lvl in act 1 and act 2 to around 20 -22 and then trav run to 24 get rushed from act 3-5 do ancients to 25 then do baal runs to around 40-45 then get rushed to nightmare baal ruun him till about 65-70 then get rushed to hellb aal and do baal stuff.

    Thats the idea behind.

Seems kinda silly to me too. One reason i can think of though is they want to get to hell act 4 so they can do the hellforge and get a good rune. Maybe their friend isnt online and they just want to get it over with, then when the friend gets online he will escort the character to hellforge and pick up that sweet sweet Vex rune.

As for a low lvl getting experience i havnt tried it yet but id imagine you still lvl up pretty dang fast if your lvl 10 and going with on those baal minion runs in hell.

We're a world that demands results. That's all that matters and that's all the people who rush are after.

Personally I've never been rushed and don't plan on it. I'll play the game and earn my way no matter how much I want to level that char...

Same here. Even though right now I'm very frustrated (playing Hardcore and my darn Fire Sorceresses keep dying like flies in Act4, need resists bad...) and I'm tempted to rush just because it's so frustrating to start over again and again doing the same things, I think it completely takes the fun out of the game if you get rushed. And when I start to play again, it is fun to start new, and find neat items, and get new skills. Oh and gem collecting, my favorite past time. But, otherwise, it just seems silly. I know people who are like "look at my items! I had a bot get them all for me! :D" and I just don't understand. How is that fun? Do you feel proud that a machine does the work for you? But, some people's concept of fun is different than others I suppose.

End Game is all that matters to some now. If i played ladder ill play it through if i play hardcore ill play it through but if i play softcore its definately try to do my best then get rushed through the long parts then lvl and then get rushed. It works for me it all depends on the persno :D

I'm really ashamed to admit it in a way, but for the most part, rushing my chars has become somewhat of the status quo. Although usually (with every char I've been playing as of late) I've been trying to make an MFer, so I wanted them to get rushed so I could start working on MF in order to collect stuff and make new chars that are twinked, yes, but don't NEED to be rushed. My ultimate purpose in D2 anymore is to make the most obscure, challenging character builds I could think up. I just want to see what kind of gear I amass from MF and use that to decide what it is I'll do.

My longest-running idea has been to make a char. that throws nothing but hatches, those darts, blades, et cetera and see if I can play him through without a rush. :)

I guess in a somewhat warped way, my validation for rushing and twinking is so that when I get it all over and done with I can just have a char that doesn't have to worry about finding gear or dealing with the realm traders or anything of the sort.If I need something, I can find it myself and pass it along to one of my other needy chars..

Yeah, I kinda branched out on the topic, but in this context rushing & twinking kind of inseperable.

I look at it this way:

I've been rushing my chars for awhile now, trying to get a good MFer. Finally got one that's doing quite awesome now & with a few more levels and act rushes, I can start hitting the big dogs in NM & Hell.

With them, I can now create other characters who DON'T need a rush without needing to deal with the realm trade channels if I have a chance to find a much-needed item myself (or trade awesome stuff for awesome stuff with you nice people in the trade forum).

Also, depending on what I find, it'll help give me ideas as to unique/challenging builds I can create that won't get a rush (can't wait for my hatchet/dart barb woowoo).

Will I stick to this? Well, that still remains to be seen but in my mind, that's my validation for rushing. :)

I always rush my mules to Hell mode ASAP.

I also rush there for the 2 good runes from Hellforge :)

I would guess that most people who want to be rushed are the secondary characters of people who want another good character, but don't want to have to invest the time and energy that they put into their main character.
