Hmm... Zeal Barb? Idea..

Well since im getting board playing around, has anyone tried a pvp zeal barb.?

Use passion rune word...

20 weapon mastery
20 Bo
20 Iron skin
20 Shout
1 Nat resist

rest into.....er......im not sure....

This would give some nifty life and alot of defense.

Gear maybe?

Arreats
SS
Levi or Nigma or Eth Zod valor (fortitude if on laddre)
Steelrends
Gores
Angelic Rings + Ammy


O which brings me to my next comment... Can anyone find out if i use Angelic armor and those max defense skills, what def iwould have? Cuz then you could use Highlords and be even more deadly. Sorta like a 09 build.

I honestly dont know anyhting about barbs, but this just struck me funny, to see a barb doing Zeal....hehe....

What you guys think?

I can try it out in singleplayer tomorrow and give you the stats.
It takes like 30 mins for me.
I have all items so it's no problems for me.

the update will be ready sometime during the xmas vacations.

pvp-wise, zeal-barbs can win in pubbies and lucky duels, but against experienced and powerful opponenents, you don't stand a chance. your damage is far too low, and even AR could give you problems.

I went with Thundergod's vigor as belt.

21000 defence
11000 attackrating
437 min 1401 max damage, 919 average

With Leviathan defence goes up to 23000, damage goes down to 404-1301, noticed too much damage reduction.

With Angelic mantle defence goes down to 12000, damage goes down to 376-1246

Stormshield with no socket.
Arreat's face with no socket.
Angelic wings with no socket.
Leviathan with no socket.

I don't like or do pvp but this could be a fun build for pvm with some crushing blow ofcourse and perhaps open wounds/poison. Something out of the ordinary.

get ya a dream and phoenix sheild and conviction merc. elemental zealot barb.

Phoenix is a horrible runeword for anyone but Paladins using Holy Shield. The amount of Dexterity required to hit 75% block is just sickening.

You will need 301 dexterity. At level 90, you will need 337.
