Hmm conviction in hammerdin

Well I was thinking, how about instead of blessed aim I max out conviction, for this reason. AR does nothing to you hammers, its only good for party correct, well how about when their are 2 pallys in a baal run. 1 has higher conc. then other. Why not bring out the conviction and weaken them up. Plus by yourself you can flash convic. on and that aura will stay with them for a short time like 3 seconds? Or something, like switching to convic. Then switching back to conc. and use hammers. Just and idea, I would much rather to weaken enemies, then raise the parties AR. Comments, suggestions? I got 22 open skills to use, and I am at lvl 85. And I got I think 2 in BA already, so need some suggestions.

BA is a synergy of Blessed Hammer. You need to max it in order to get more hammer damage.
You can't flash anymore. If you switch auras, they wear off inmediately.
And the most important thing: Conviction does not low Magic Resistance so you won't get more damage from your hammers.

Hope that help you to decide.

There is no point in using Conviction as already stated.

There is only on monster which is immune to BH and that is the Wailing Beast in Act III in Hell.

BA adds to your damage as a synergy.

What you could do though, if you're wanting to be more party effective, is place extra points into conviction after maxing your 4 basic skills. Or if you have good gear, just 1 point into conviction, and let your +skills bring it up to par for the -resist for sorcs/other elemental users. I think it requires a level 12 conviction(correct me if I'm wrong) to give -150 resist all. Assuming basic gear:

+2 shako
+2 HoZ
+2 ammy
+1 vipermagi
+1-2 soj/bk ring
+1 arach
+1 anni

That's +10 assuming you only have 1 soj, other ring used for raven or wisp or whatever, +9 if you are arach-less due to souls. If you use hoto after that, you get +12 skills which would be enough for -150 assuming my conviction statement was correct.
