highest nova damage you have gotten?

Just curious. I'm also starting a psn nec and I'm building him for pure damage.

I thought it was possible to get higher than 12-13K, although that might require a "Bramble" setup. I remember one of the threads in the forum mentioning a figure close to 20K at the upper end. :shocked:

I have a pretty good pvp psn necro, and just the other day i actually tryed to get the higest nova dmg possible.

Max i could get was 15,7k and 16,6k with skill shrine.

With my normal pvp gear i have 10-11k but much more life, teleport, max block, high DR% and 125% fcr.
Thats what you should use, not the max dmg setup.

Highest possible damage (display damage, not counting -%res):
+3 pnb circlet with 2x 5/5 facet
+3 pnb ammy
+3 pnb +3 pnova wand with 2x 5/5 facet
50% Bramble
+3 pnb, +3 pnova head with 2x 5/5 facet
Trang glove
2x soj
spider
torch, anni, 9x pnb gc, battle command, skills shine.

gives a total of 20+3+3+6+6+1+1+1+3+1+9+1+2= level 57 poison nova
with a total of 105% of poison damage
which comes to a total of 19475- 19825 poison damage.

Note that this calculation is merely for the highest possible damage for pnova, this is in no way a good pvp pnova-er should look like.

yeah.....going high damage won't get you anywhere.....I had one that did 12k with bramble and he had ALOT of trouble surviving.....

Understandable. Thanks for running the calculation and listing gear. Basically 10-12K should be considered excellent damage, so long as there's plenty of -% enemy resist. Although mentioned, 20K seems practically unreasonable to obtain.

-enemy psn res is way more important than pure dmg.
Not only does the enemy get lower psn res, the duration of the psn allso increases.
making your dmg sky-high!
