Hi I'm new. Not very experienced with d2

I've read about changing the player setting by going to b.net but can you change the setting offline? I would really like that if it were possible.

You can only change the players setting offline (Single Player or Open b.net.) You cannot adjust it via the /players x command while playing on the closed realms. One of the many reasons why I find offline play a superior experience.

Yeah I tried it out last night playing standard single player. I guess it worked. I opened chat. Typed: [/players8] then the chat popped up and said there were 8 players. Does that mean it worked? I mean... It seamed harder. Not by much, but still.

I've also heard of a way you can play in a window instead of full screen. How might I do that?

And finally, thank you for the welcome. I'm happy to be a part of this d2 community.

Yeah, it worked.

It will effect any monster not yet spawned.

To create the windowed mode, right click on the shortcut icon for the game on your desktop, and select 'Properties'. At the end of the target line, add '-w'. (without quotation marks.)
