Like Gimmershred suggested: 85% + 1 piece of absorb, if you have more then you may not use any sorb gear on that element.
well, above 85% resist you dont need anymore to absorb. Try to kill someone with 95% resist. If at that lvl you put on just 1 absorb you already will start to heal, which will turn
duel into player
slaughter.
In my opinion - any item that adds +max resist should be counted as 1 piece of absorb and should be allowed only one type of item like this. Otherwise Guardian + Tgods or hotspurs grants 95% resist, which is 100x worth than 85% resist and 1 wisp.
Also I would like suggest to move duels in Hell difficulty rather than Nightmare. Read why.
Dueling in Nightmare advantages/disadvantages:
1. Blizzard/orb sorc - me :smiley: - becomes weak puppets
2. Light sorc and java zones losses advantage of griffon -%res and facets (while others can keep same gear without loosing dmg)
3. V/T palies - their foh attack becomes useless so they become like a weak smiter
4. Auradins and Daydreamers - losses half of their power
5. Windies - Oak gets physical immunity (nice)
6. Any melee can drop off their resist gear to put on dmg gear (gogo casters)
