Hi all~

Greetings!!!

I'm not new to the game nor new to the thread...

I'd been playing the game 10 yrs ago... on/off when I have nth to do I just can't resist to install the game and play again... then... there you go... 10 yrs later I'm still having it in my computer... for 10 yrs I'd only been doing single player though...

I'd been reading the guides and threads for quite some time and they are so helpful...

I just suddenly have an urge to register and account and start meeting up ppl here...

afterall... someone once said on the thread, this game isn't as fun when you're not teaming w/ friends to kick some bad asses...

newayz... greeting to you all!!! =)

*PS* I'm in Hong Kong so I guess I belong to the Asia timezone or sth?

Re: Hi all~

Greetings right back at you!!

Welcome to the forums, it's always nice to see a lurker sign up to meet people. As for your timezone, I have no idea. Since you are single player you might want to say hello in the Single Player OT. It's said it's pretty cozy there.

Re: Hi all~

actually, I wanna start meeting up with some ppl and start having some online team play... what's the best way for an online newbie like me to do that?

Re: Hi all~

Battle.net. Pick a realm and join the ladder.

I'm on US East Ladder, for instance. People are fairly nice, though every place has its jerks.

Re: Hi all~

does it matter which realm I join? Or is it because I'm located in HK now I'll be joining the Asia realm?

Re: Hi all~

you can play online with people of the single player forum through tcp/ip

i'm told that Multiplaying in the single player forum is very active (through hamachi) and that it's a much better gaming experience (you know, actually playing with people you trust and interact with on the forums)

Re: Hi all~

sorrie... online newb question...

I've tried all 4 realms and open bnet... but all of them said cannot identify my bnet version... why's that?

is it because I'm using mac?!

Re: Hi all~

hmph... actually no... I left my CDs at Toronto so I got myself a copy... but I use my own legit cd keys though...

so that's what matter eh? =(

Re: Hi all~

the latest patch is essentially a no-cd patch, meaning that installing it will eliminate the need for a cd

Re: Hi all~

But you have to boot up with the CD keys, then allow the patch to update and then move D2xmusic.mpq to the folder. I think only that way allows you to play on Bnet.
