Help with zealot build
I've seen posts about how a zeal/fanatic deals with PIs by having certain weapons. My question is...should I wait until I get a decent elemental weapon or can I deal with PIs effectively with minimal points in other skills?
Specifically, I'm looking at either putting points in vengeance or conviction.
Vengeance
Pros - Synergy with defensive elemental auras for increased dmg. Only have to add 1 pt to get skill since I already have the pre-reqs. Still able to use with fanaticism
Cons - Lower attack rating than my zeal attack.
Conviction
Pros - Can break all immunities (though not sure how much I would need; just 1 pt?) thereby increasing all dmg. Still using zeal attack, so it will better at crowd control.
Cons - Can't use fanaticism so attack rating will be lower than normal but not sure if lower than vengeance/fanaticism. Need to spend 4 pts on pre-reqs on skills I wouldn't use and don't provide synergies.
Anyways, I would rather not have to run away from PIs like I am now while waiting until I find good gear. On the other hand, I want to minimize the use of skill points on a secondary, situation dependent skill.
Thoughts?
