help with setup for a skelemancer

ok, this is my first skelemancer, i plan on playing uswest ladder all the way through hell solo, and twiked extremely (it is my first one, so imma make it as easy on myself as possible), and i have enough to afford to set him up with the best equip.

so my question is, whats the best equipment setup assuming no $ restrictions

My thoughts, correct or add to this

HELM: Shako (dono what to socket it with)

Armor: Enigma (pretty sure theres no doubt about this one)

gloves: trangs? really dono here some help plz

boots: +2 marrowalks (dono about any others)

belt: arachs (pretty sure on this choice)

ammy: either a maras or +3 summing with life ammy (im planning on using maras if i need the resist, and +3 ammy if i dont)

rings: 2 sojs?

charms: lots of 5% resist all scs to get up to max resists, summoning GC's, anni

i dont think i forgot anything, but any help with these choices would be greatly appreciated.

weapon: beast? with cta on switch

shield: homo



merc: might merc, eth stone sacred (dureals until he can use the stone), eth doom? (will the HF aura shatter the corpses? would eth beast be better with a might merc, and i use a wand instead ... if so what wand?)

Use an AoKL to raise the Skellies and then use CTA for the Cries. After that switch to Beast for the aura.

The Might Merc can't wear a Beast since Beast can't be made in polearms or spears.

The HF aura will cause some corpse shatter, about 40%. So if you rely on CE a lot, it might not be the best approach. The aura still leaves enough corpses to make CE a powerful attack.

thanks alot for the help ... i kinda mind blanked on the beast, kinda a after thought i put in there without looking it up.

Make sure you get those charms for your resists. The monsters with piercing attacks (gloams, vipers) will trash you without them. Perhaps think about a Thundergods or a Wisp Projector. While +skills is great, if you can get yourself +13 in raise skeleton/skeleton mastery, you'll fly through hell, and you can concetrate on other gear.

why 13? is that the cap for # of skeles, or bad diminishing returns after?

I think Gen is just saying that lvl 33 raise skele & mast are enough to easily beat hell, and that you don't need to sacrifice resists for skills because of this.
