Help with regedit allowhc

I've tried (first of all I did search and I saw it in the FAQ,but...) the allowhc thing in my registry but I can't get it to work. In the blizzard/diabloii part of the registry there's no allowharcore key to edit and the bit listed in the FAQ here didn't work for me either. So what am I screwing up?

Oh and hello btw. Not exactly new here, but I doubt there are any that will remember me. I quit playing in '05 second ladders season of 1.10. Used to be a semi regular on the forums under the moniker tao_of_xero. :wave:

*Cough* Zappa kind of messed it up in the faq. It should be the following:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Diablo II]
"AllowHardcore"=dword:00000001

And nothing else. In the faq he added ------ bars before and after the code, which might make it not work properly (but then again, ive never tried it with the bars, so i dont know).
