Help with my new sorc

Hi, i'm remaking a new sorc since my old meteorb didn't feel adequate for my needs. I decided to do a light based sorc. I plan on doing mostly mf runs at meph, pits, and key runs. Here's a few questions for u guys:

#1: Right now i'm confused on which specific build to do...i read the guides for the fo/cl vs pure light, but these guides seems a lil outdated (lack of spirit monarchs etc), so which is the better build for my needs?

#2: Also what's the best equip for the two listed builds above? I'm thinking of either doing full tal or 3/5 tal with shako/occy along with spirit monarch.

#3: Also since i plan on using spirit monarch, it's probably not a good idea to try to get max block on her right?

any help would be appreciated.

#1 Old debate with the dual-tree vs single-tree problem.
If you want power and the sorc will only do 1 or 2 specific areas. Maybe Pure light is for you.
If you don't want to be completely useless vs 2/3's of monsters then go with the dual-tree. At least that way you have some sort of flexibility. Personally I have a pure light AND a dual-tree sorc and without Infy on my mercs or having super items, I would probably ask you to go for the FO/CL.

#2 Good idea. Though if you're going for full tals, it may be hard for you to get that 105/117 FCR Breakpoint. Or the 117 breakpoint if you're pure light (I think those are the break points anyway). The second option will be enough to give you the BPs with more MF but less power. Upto you on this one if you want more MF vs Power.

#3 Personally I don't ever go with max block on my sorcs. Thats because I'm not planning to stand there like a duck letting monsters hitting me. The str reqs for Monarch is bad enough, can't put any points in dex to maintain that.
So I'd do with full vit.

ty for ur advice. Right now i'm leaning towards going FO/CL cuz immunes seem really annoying to deal with atm. Also since full tal set gives some nice bonus to dual element sorcs i was thinking it would make up for the loss of power from going single element? Also i don't have infinity so pure light wouldn't be very optimal as my build atm =/
