help with blizz sorc

ok i can easily do nm meph with runs lasting between 3 to 5 minutes depending on how long it takes me to find durance level 3 but im am having problems when i try hell meph as i cant even reach durance 3 because i die to fast.. so i was wondering if someone could tell me what is wrong with my sorc

Level 80 bilzz sorc

Equiptment:

weapon : 25% fcr spirit crystal sword

Sheild: Splendor Kite sheild

helm: Blackthorns face

Belt: nightsmoke

Gloves: magefist

Armour: skulders ire

Ammy: rare +1 to cold skills 9%psn res 8% mf

Rings: 10 fcr 15 fire res magic ring
10 fcr 11%mf ammy


Stats:
115 base strength
120 base dex
200 base vita
base energy

max blizz
max cm
max ice blast
almost max glacial spike

1 to static-teleport--warmth and all the cold sheilds

and all pre-reqs

just wondering what i could do to make it better so i can run hell meph with no problems(or just not dieing most of the time)...

What is your blocking percentage? With splendor, the kite shield will have a 48 percent base, which is quite low. A good minimum base is 60. I _think_ the doll explosions can be blocked, and getting a better blocking shield would be great for you. I usually put rhyme in a tower shield until I can get something better because of the high block (64 I think) and the resists.

What are your resists? It doesn't look like you are in the positives when it comes to fire, which will get you toasted by the blood lords. I know the lightning absorb is cool, but you might consider a new helmet. You're going to be far away from meph, so you just have to avoid the lightning enchanted council and you could use FCR, FHR, or resists.

well all my resists are at best -50 with cold and -90 and fire at -75...i just figured out how to do the moat trick and i have now killed hell meph about 25 times in a row but if i mess up at all i pretty much die...

what easily obtainable items(im kinda poor..got lucky to find skulders while baal leveling) could i use to put my res and such up ....i have done none of the anya quests btw

do the anya quests then. at least on normal. for me i wear mosers shield and socket em with pdiamonds where for me i get 63 all resis or something like that. i usually do the moat trick on left side or a modified trick that works just as well. just try to avoid them counsel. i usually tele on side till i get to meph and then make him follow me. works 90% of time.

ok thanks for the help i think i know what i need to do but i has a couple other questions

1. if im wearing skullders is it still possiable for meph to drop them?

2. I was just looking at some stuff and heard about quest drops and i was wondering how much better are they than normal drops and should i just start over so i can get them?

1. u can have as many as u want. thats if it drops x]. only items that i know u cant have multiple of is anni, helltorch, and gheeds and like quest items.

2. quest drops tend to be really good. i didnt do em cause i wanted to baal run but regret it. also regret killing nilka??? cause now i have to tp around for pindle runs.

it really doesnt take that long to lvl up as long as u get rushed. the longest part then would be getting to lvl 25 for norm baal runs. after that its pretty quick.

Just to note - you can kill nihlathak and still do pindle runs - the portal only goes away if you activate the halls of pain waypoint.

I agree with crhscoog, the only real point to a blizzsorc is to do meph runs. If you can get rushed... start over and glitch meph. Don't ever get to act IV hell with a blizz sorc.

You know. I made a glitch sorc this weekend and for the most part, I found it to be more annoying than anything. You always have to join another game, Meph is usually harder because more people are there, other people may have killed Meph beforehand, and you can't make games for trades and kill Meph because you'll get the quest.

I just leveled my dude out and am having a much easier time trading and doing runs. I didn't see a huge difference in getting better drops, either.

To each his own but I'd rather just make a character that can complete the game.

That's a very good point. I get around that by having a character who has already done the quest make a game and do pit/tunnels/key runs. Then when I'm done, I use my blizz sorc to kill meph.

I know it is a little late but I must thank every and anyone who said to get the quest drops as in the first 100 runs I have found a 4-4 lite facet, andys visage, jalals mane, soulddrainers, a bunch of ik and aldurs stuff and tons more awesome items...
