help with battlemage druid

I am looking for help/suggestions in making a single player Druid who uses melee and a bit of fire magic pain. Can someone help? Thanks

Yes there's an Earthshifter build in the Druid Forums. Take a peek there, since your question will most likely be answered more accurately there.

I will probably never be a high enough character to use earthshifter. I only have time to play casually, and was hoping for something a bit simpler. I don't play online, and I'll probably never see Hell difficulty. Thanks for the response, though.

if you don't play online, you might wanna check out the Single player forum around here for build ideas and stuff... (pat/mat compilation)

patriarch/matriarch is the title you get for playing through hell difficulty in softcore mode with a character

The problem with melee/caster druids is that the only elemental skill you can use while shapeshifted is Armageddon- that thing that requires points in everything else, requires level 30, and rarely hits anything anyway. To get anything else, you'd have to rely on "chance to cast x" equipment, or just not use shapeshifting.

Is there a better suited character to choose to achieve this? (non druid)
