Help on my necro please

I recently restarted D2 after i stopped playin it about three years back and i decided to go with a bit of a different bonemancer.

The idea is to have a bonemacer with a pumped golem that im hoping will be able to block hell diablo/baal etc and i was also lookin for something different to play instead of the normal builds.

So this is how im working on char tree.

20 Spirit,
20 Spear,
20 Golum Mastery,
20 Clay Golem
20 Summon Resist
Rest in bone prison.

So far ive got the spirit/spear maxed and the clay golum maxed with 1 point in summon resist and now some points in mastery with quite a few to come innit.

The golum currently has 7.7k life and im lvl 67 in hell act 2 now and the golum can pretty much blok everything and every boss monster ive faced so far only times ive seen him die is when hes had like 3 set of unique distance shooters on him with curses.

Stat points:
Strength: 78 for marrowalks
Dex: Base
Vit: All the rest in here
Energy: 60

The equipment im currently managed to obtain so far (only being playing a week) is:

Helmet: Rare Circlet +2 necro skills, 58 to life, 10 to energy, 15 to strength, 5 MF, 5 to mana AEK.

Armor: Skin of the Vipermagi.

Belt: Goldwrap heavy belt.

Boots: Marrowwalk.
~
Gloves: Trangs.
~
Sheild: Rare sexton trophy with +2 to necro skills, +3 to summon resist, +22% to cold resist and some other small mods.
Weapon: Spirit Long sword 29% FCR.
~
Ring: FCR +10%, +36% to cold resist.
~
Ring: FCR +10%
~
Amulet: 10% FCR OR A unique ammy i found with 10 to all atribs with +1 to skills with some other minor mods.


Im not rich best rune ive managed to find so far is a um ive got some p gems and im looking for some affordable unique items with life leech i cud afford to put onto my act 2 defensive defiance merc to help keep him alive also hes equipment in general.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated

Why putting so many points into golem and its mastery and resist? It's just a waste of skills. Try putting them to teeth/bone prison/bone wall for great dmg and good bone armor absorb. And use at least 1 pts to revive if you want the ultimate meat wall army.

Hmm, for a tougher golem to help with taking down bosses, I probably would've gone with a 1-point Iron Golem and 20 in Golem Mastery to keep him alive.

Then make the IG from something like a Bonesnap, IK Maul, or another weapon with lots of Crushing Blow. Then combine with Merc w/ lots of Crushing Blow.

Clay Golem trick is best used on Summoner, where Decrepify makes it so all your minions can stay alive and beat on the boss.

Thnx for the replies this char is just for experimenation rlly wat i wud like to no tho is items that i might b able to afford that wud work well on my merc and equipment i can look for to help me hit the 125% fcr breaking point that also has + to skills.

For Merc:

What a Merc needs: high damage, Crushing Blow, and lots of leech.

Pick some combo of weapon, helm, and armor from the above to suit your needs and budget.

I suggest dropping the Defiance Merc in favor of a Might Merc so he can kill bosses and monsters faster. As a Bonemancer, you should have plenty of defense from your beefy Bone Armor.

You might as well shoot for a "Spirit" Monarch, although your Str is rather low. Try to get one with 30% fcr on it. Also, craft a 10% fcr caster belt.

Ok thanks maiku and i already thought of the spirit monarch i got the shield last night am just looking for another amn/tal for it.

Also im goin to restart my bonemancer and go pure boner. Making all the synergys etc. and beefing bone armor with spare points and putting 1 point in iron golem for future referance when i can afford a item worth making one out of.

Also I no im asking alot but on Us West would you by any chance no the price of the stuff that you mentioned?
