    Help on a Mephy Runner

    Hey, as some of you know im new to single player. I am going to make a mephisto runner so i can start to get some good items. Looking for any kind of help from anyone. Like what kind of character i should make and everything. Thanks everyone.

    A frenzy barb with decent resists and lots of CB% should be able to tank him pretty effectively. Put one point in Leap Attack to clear the moat so you can get on with it.

    A sorc who can teleport over is another option.

    Hammerdins are great all-around MFers and easy to build/play, but there's plenty of options. If I recall correctly from your other thread you were thinking about making a Sorc? Then perhaps a Meteor/Frozen Orb Sorc would also be a nice choice. There's guides available for these and other builds both here at the SPF and at the various characterclass forums, have a look around and I'm sure you'll find a build that'll suit you! :thumbsup:

    Almost any character can be a successful Meph runner in SP.

    1. Respawn your Hell map, until Durance-2 waypoint is close to the Durance-3 enterance.

    2. Get an amulet or circlet with "teleport" charges. Enigma armor is also an expensive alternative.

    3. Avoid Sparkfist and friends and teleport across the moat . Change back to your usual/MF amulet, headgear, or armor.

    4. Melee character can use a dagger with "Life Tap" charges, to counter unleechable Meph in Hell diff, especially in multi-player mode.

    The fastest killer is probably a fully synergized Hammerdin.

    i would create a skellymancer instead and go kill stuff in the pit ^^

    it´s easy, good exp and instead of getting mephy stuff u can get any stuff

    good luck whatever you do :)

    The skellymancer is good/great at the pit. A skellymancer doing meph it is a little slow. As far as pit vs. meph. The pit can get you anything, but the average is one unique or one set item per run. (approx 7-10 min run time depending on if you do full pit clear *note pit runs do pretty well at XP as well) A meph run you probably average 1.5 unique/set a run. (approx 1-2 minutes run time)

    If you plan on doing hell meph. I would go for a Meteor/Frozen orb sorc. There are a couple of good guides located in the sticky at the top.

    For a starter in SP doing mef runs, go with a MeteOrb Sorc.

    20 Orb
    20 ColdMastery or 20 Ice Bolt (Synergy)
    20 Meteor
    20 Fire Mastery

    With any remaining skills go with either Fire synergies or Cold synergies depending on what u want. You will also need all the preq, which u will have no extra skills for synergies until like 85+.
