Help! My new charger is not doing as well

I made a charger and now he is lvl 76. Right Here are his equip:

Helm: Shako
Armour: GAngel until I can use Arkaine Valor
Belt: Verdungo
Glove: Draculs
Boot: GoreRider
Ammy: Angelic
Ring: Angelic x2
Weapon: Hel'd HellSlayer

Skills:
Max Charge
Max Fana
Max Vigor
Almost Max Might

Life: 1.6k
Dmg: 3.1k - 14k dmg
AR: 15k
Def: 1.4k!! :rant:
Resist: -20 in Nm!! :rant:

Stats: 190 with items
Dex: 40
Vit: 374

Problem!
Im lacking a lot in Resist and Defense. I think I might be able to pump the Def a bit higher when I get that Valor going but my Resist is horrible. Im not too rich so ya, is my build over?

Um runes aren't all that expensive, and are fairly common, considering you can obtain them on hellforge in both NM and Hell difficulty.

If you could get a few, or if you simply find some resist-all jewels, you could socket some of your gear with them for some additional resistances. +Resist all charms are always nice, too, and are not all that hard to get if you re-roll your charms a lot.

If those 2 aren't options for you, you may simply want to change around your gear a little bit to better suit your needs. You have to make sacrifices to be able to survive. Also, if defense is still an issue after you get all your gear, you may wish to give up on a 2H charger, and throw on a nice pally shield.

If that's not an option, get an act 2 defiance merc (if you're PvM...), and put a nice resist-all pally shield and a decent 1H weapon on switch, so you can have to option of switching if things get rough, and you're in dire need of those resists.

Other than that, I really don't know what to tell you.

Sorry to tell you, but I don't think 2 handers can survive in hell due to lack of resist.

Gore riders can be switched for resist boots. Um your shako, Um your valor/ga. Both of those will give you +30. +30 from anya makes for +60 resist all. That still leaves you with -40 resist all in hell. Doesn't CoA give you resist all? I don't know, not that big on melee chars.

CoA does, in fact, give resistances. 20-30 to be exact. Not to mention, +1 skills and PDR, which makes it quite possibly my favorite helm. But it's best attribute would have to be the potential 2 open sockets. If you could pull off a 30 resist 2OS CoA, you could get 60 resists just from your helm.

Then consider moving off your GA for a good Smoke (Nef-Lum) for 50% resist-all, or Gloom (Fal-Um-Pul) for 45% resist-all with an crazy amount of defense, and even a chance to cast dim vision when struck...

30% for Anya's 3 quests in each difficulty, 45-50 from smoke/gloom, potentially up to 60 from the CoA. Then perhaps go for some resist all charms? Let's just say you pull off 20% resist all from charms, that could total up to potentially... 155-160%, which would leave you with 55-60% in hell.

There are several alternatives, but that's looking a little better than -20% in NM. :thumbsup:

Trust me... make space for it. Even if your damage/AR suffers a little.

What good does high damage and a high AR do for you when you can't survive long enough to charge to them?

Why GA when you're not using a shield and your resists are terrible? Use a skin of the vipermagi, duriel's shell, or even lionheart. The only reason that GA is better than a skin is the +max resist (which you clearly won't have use for, since your resistances are negative) and +block (no shield, remember?). As for defense, it'll be really hard to get that much higher unless you elect to use the full IK set without helm (most of the resists come from the armor, and it's really rare), or holy shield (which, again, you don't have).

You also may want to consider using an Upgraded Swordguard, since it gives great damage along with resists.

K thnx for the idea, ya i think ill go with Up'd Um perfect Viper and may I ask whats the dmg range for an Up'd Swordguard?
