Help me choose my first real PvP character!
Hey all! In my relative old age (I've been playing this game for-EVER!), I have decided I might want to venture into a new area of play (to try and challenge myself a bit): dueling. I'm thinking, at this point, of mostly joining random public games. The thing is, I don't really enjoy playing standard, "cookie-cutter" builds. So the question is, which of these weird ones should I try to build?
1) Poison Nova/Double Dream Necro: Relatively simple, this one, but kind of fun and weird. Take your standard 'Nigma-wearing, Death's Web waving P-Nova Necro and throw on a Dream shield and helm. Curse them, hit 'em with one Nova and the pulse damage from your level 30 Holy Shock should do that last point of life in.
2) Double-Dream Thunder-Sorc: This ones also pretty simple (and would doubtless make a lot of folks mad at me!) - max T-Storm and Lightning Mastery and throw on a couple Dreams. Teleport around till your opponent keels over a crispy critter. I have a decent Lightning Eschuta's and a Hoto as well, but I'm also tempted by this cute rare orb I hunted up that has a +3 to Lightning skills, a +3 to Lightning Mastery, and a +2 to T-Storm . . .
3) Assassin Kicker: 7/3 fps kick speed with Dragon Talon, Bramble Armor, Shaftstop, Fade, Stormshield . . . you get the picture. I could swap Bramble out for Fortitude, but kicks do so little damage and that extra poison damage is sexy! Beast weapon, I figure, to help me get to that last breakpoint without breaking a sweat.
4) Palabear: Grief PB, max block, INSANE defense, great life - the only question would be whether to go for Double Dream/Conviction or just plain ol' Fanaticism. With Fanaticism I could swing 50% pdr, but Double Dream would give me some ranged damage too . . . and I could use a shael'ed Phase to get to 4 fps!
5) Poison Javazon: Eth Titan's, Stormshield, Bramble, Trang Oul's . . . the works. I figure my backup will be CS for melee closers.
6) I dunno . . . any thoughts?
