Help Installing

First off I would like to say that this is not my first time installing diablo 2 or the Expansion. Since my sister just moved out I felt like taking her computer and putting it in my room. So when I was installing Diablo 2 yesterday, I recieved no problems But, When I tried to install the Expansion, I kept on getting "Please Insert the Diablo II CD labelled "Play Disc"" Even though It was in the drive.

It would sure be nice If I could see what the problem is.

Normally you get that when the drive cant read the disk. Is the disk scratched or dirty? Have u cleaned the laser lens in the drive lately. Are you using a backup copy of the original disk? Any of these can cause that error. Hope this gives you a few ideas to try.

Is the "play disc" the Diablo II CD, or the LoD CD?

As far as im aware and remember, it has to be the Diablo one which is to be installed, then it ask' to put the LoD one back in to continue installation

Sorry about the long response (Damn Internet company broke my modem)
The "Play Disc" is the Diablo II disc not Lod (As far as I can see)


And the theory that my "Play Disc" was scratched or dirty isn't the case.
Weird... Would be nice to play Diablo....

Oh and what would a String of ears cost on Us-east non-ladder?

did u just buy the game.. u can go to the store to get an exchange if u just bought it..

string of ears is worth pgems on nonladder.. try the trade value forum in the future for these questions..

just courious but y would u wanna know the value of strings if u havent played d2 yet? :scratch:

I gave up installing it on her computer. I'll just play it down here.
(and I've had Diablo2 For about 7 months now)
