Help, I'm stuck!

Really hope someone knows the solution to this - my summon necro killed andy in a privy game, then joined a public game to complete act2. We went to the claw viper temple, but there was no viper ammy for me - I tried to pick one up, and it says "I can't!" :rant:

Checked quest log, it says Quests 2 and 3 (the horadric staff quests) have been completed. I have no staff, and can't go anywhere. So now I'm properly stuck in act2 with nothing completed.

Please, anyone?

All u have too do is get a a2 party and stay in town all the time. NOT fun but it works.

Go through the arcane, find the correct temple, and the chamber is probably already open.

What most likely happened is that in the first game someone opened the wall before you left basically making you have the quests done and any game you made whould of had the wall open. once a Staff is placed in the orifice for your character you can no longer pick up and pc or the full staff, but if you happen to have a pc still on you it may not go away. If you drop it however you wouldnt be able to pick it back up.
