Help if you still have the Expansion CD

I was copying files from the CD to the d2 file so i can run it without the CD, and i accidently dragged one of the files on-to the folder, and right now im hoping the whole file didnt get moved, which would mean i have to buy a new expansion pack.

So can anyone verify the expansion cd files...

    I have,
    Total 15 files = 473 megs

    1)DirectX7
    2)Extras
    3)Support
    4)Autorun
    5)binkw32.dll
    6)d2com_01
    7)d2exp.mpq
    8)D2x
    9)D2xmusic.mpq
    10)D2xtalk.mpq
    11)d2xvideo.mpq
    12)install
    13)setup
    14)setup.mpq
    15)xreadme

can anyone verify this for me?

The CD is read only, you can't move a file off. Dragging a file off the CD, by default, copies it, not permanently moves it. Your CD should still be fine.

I am a little confused as to why you will need to buy a new expansion pack.

If you have the original files on the CD then simply re-install.

Firstly, I was confused as to your meaning.

Secondly, I am glad you've got the answer you required.

Thirdly, all gaming CD's are read only.

Note - try not to double post, it's considered BM (Bad Manners).

Indeed, all software you purchase would be read-only too. Infact, unless you have some special software, most CDs you use will be read-only.
