They ought to make a movie about this issue
Uh, this is serious.
Something something government something something correspondence something something research something something.
Hey, just cos it isn't happening doesn't mean to say it doesn't go on!!!one!!!!111won!!juan!1!
I'm not sre if this thread is a good idea after Dredd closed the other one :scratchchin:.
Perhaps I went a bit too far there, but that might be a matter of krischophobia, the fear of not being politically correct enough.
I have little fear of krischan but then, I was never very bright
I don't think I've seen you go too far, kris, but I have seen you steer ... that's for certain
So, what exactly are we supposed to discuss here?
The fear of the dead not being buried!
- the fact that you might die one day? ("might" because by the time it's our time, we might have found a way around it)
- the fact that people might not bury you? (you want to be put under, or are afraid your body will be used for organ testing, or are you afraid that you might not get into a certain afterlife if you aren't buried?)
- the fact that you might come back as a zombie? (well, if you are the zombie, you have nothing to worry about  )
Now you just have to find a way to make me steer a certain course without me noticing a manipulation
ugh, a spinoff thread, kill it
Haven't you learned anything? *bury/burn it, alive preferrably*
Certainly, I'll get started straight away
Plan proceeding nicely.
Agreed, shoot it in the head and ECG/EEG it to be certain
Also reminds me of that Pratchett quote people here seemed to like -
Give a man a fire and he's warm for a day. Set him on fire and he's warm for the rest of his life.
And that reminds me of this:
"Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Don’t teach a man to fish…and feed yourself. He’s a grown man. And fishing’s not that hard"
Oh noes, zombeh thred!! This is a perfect scenario to emphasize the importance of Rule #2: DOUBLE TAP!!!
Ah, Zombie movies, next to science fiction, my favorite kind ^^ (if the movie is decent though)
[h=2]Kinemortophobia[/h]Sounds like a fear of dead cows to me.
Ah the infamous Mortoageládaphobia!
My hypothesis on what zombie movies are really about:
We are violent by nature. We have a strong subconscious desire to brutally murder our bosses, bullies, co-workers, those of whom we're jealous, etc. Zombies are a way of venting this frustration without consequence. Zombies are actually representatives of real human beings. They are shot, hacked, set ablaze, dismembered, crushed, dragged and mutilated in unconscionable ways because we actually want to inflict this damage on people we know. Zombies are usually ugly, diseased, and mindless to help justify their slaughter. However, there are even uglier, more diseased and impaired people in reality who you'd go on a heroic rant about over the mere thought or joke of pushing them in a mud puddle. This moral grandstanding is to cover up the fact that you actually want to kill them.
Have a nice day!
Dang, you going all psychological, I'm simply intrigued by post apocalyptic movies in general,
the idea of survival in a world with no laws/society, where everything is different than what you're used to.
I'm the opposite, it's such a milked idea and most of it is boring and too much of the same.
Agreed. I enjoyed the first few movies I saw like this but have since moved on.
