Help Greebo make a coming-back-to-D2-zon

Hi Everyone,

It's been a while, I think I stopped playing about 2 years ago. I decided to come back. I started my D2 laptop. Fail, RAM / CPU or something no longer work. HDD rescue successful, I moved to my new laptop. Seems to be all fine.

I've had quite a few plans back when and I'm sure I'll get back to some them, eventually. For now, I want to have some fun, which means a zon in my case. I'm in A2 NM right now, I think. I feel a lot like a b.net player - I have a pretty good gear and I'm kind of a noob. I did forget quite some stuff.

I think I feel like making a 7fpa 'Faith' MB FA-zon. I love FA, I love shooting 7fpa. So that's pretty much a given. Doing 7fpa without 'Faith' is just silly, and requires weird stuff, plus it's a cool bow.

Backup wise, I can't go LF, because that just takes over the character, so I was thinking Exploding Arrow, but I've done that twice so, meh. It was cool, but let's try something else. So I think I will go bow physical as backup. Meaning Multishot, my beloved skill of the game + Magic Arrow. Which means I can get myself DAE and a Valk, so I'll be somewhat safe.

Since I'm going FA, it'd be silly not to use 'Infinity' on the dummy, so I'll probably go ahead and do just that. Which means I'm going to be a big mana hog and no 'Insight', to the point of considering dumping points in energy, maybe. Brrh. So I'll try to leech. Probably, tell me if I'm silly.

I'm trying to think of reasonable gear, and I'm having some problems. I have this:

I figure if I don't use those gloves now, it's probably never gonna happen, and they're just too freaking cool to pass up.

Now, I'm not too sure about what to do about the rest of the gear/stats. I need
- ML, probably quite a bit
- LL, a bit more
- % Damage increase
- resistances, probably quite a bit I can get from charms, but still
- Mana, lots
- +skills
- Cannot be Frozen
- 30 IAS (lvl 12 Fana on my bow)
- Pierce (or not? Can't decide; I'll have quite a bit of +skills and points to spare)

Any hints? What would you do, all you amazon lovers / haters?

ravenfrost is a must for any non-horking char

It gives tons of AR, cold sorb, dex and not too mention cold duration for your FA. Oh and mana is a necessity
If you're attacking so fast with FA you will run out of mana easily. Maybe your strafe/MS will be enough to leech that back (it was for me using windforce) or an insight merc. Silkweave or similar boots might help you out there because iirc they have MPK.
kira's is still a great helm and i think my zon used it too, but the CBF comes from raven so only the res matters on kira's.
with some of your skill points you can reach ~80% pierce fairly easily.. or 1-3 pt + razortail (33%, 15 dex) is usually 100% and totally worth it with FA (and strafe/MS).

cat's eye or highlord's for 20% ias (I think?) and rest from gloves.
If you're going to be fighting 66%+ demons I'd personally think LoH is better than those gloves, but meh. a jool in your hat or armor will also give you ias you need

those are random current thoughts I've got. You'll probably need a SoJ for mana.

Just get 10 x b/c 20 maxers from 1.07. Given that you have such hax gloves, you might just have those charms anyway. Also hai thar.

Looks to me like Cham'd Valk is way to go tbh. Covers your IAS needs, opens ability to go with 70 fcr on switch (ring+spirit/cta+valk) You will probably have maxblock switch due to that for teleporting. Even if you don't use it for fcr, IAS and run walk speed are still great for zon (unless you have 2zon/30FRW/2os(preffix/IAS jool's inside) and you have opened amulets and rings to cover your resists/leech. Mavina's belt is awesome for 40 FRW/up to 15 mana leech for mana hungry zons.
Even if you decide to go for helm without CBF, I just don't see something that would allow you for more options such as removing RF to get versatility. Sure, resists might be a bit too hard to get with enigma, but between teleport, high frw (140 at first glance), minion stack, cta and dodges you should be fine.

If you want resists so much or don't want to play with teleport, I guess CoH is way to go. That + charms should be able to cover your needs, Or IAS'd Kira + Cat's/HLW to cover IAS needs. Obviously I'm biased towards using enigma. And have no real clue how that setup would work, but it just depends on what do you want to emphasis; physical dmg or cold dmg from FA. It's not easiest char to build.

Sup Greebo welcome back. Like they say you can check out but you can never leave. If you recall when we MPed with NF, Arkado and Virgait (aka Kitteh) you gotta go HC baby. Its the only way to play this game. My offer of gear is still standing if and when you wanna make the plunge. I dont have a Faith tho but any stuff I can spare is yours. Laters.

Welcome back, Greebo! And honestly: I don't care about your setup, the main thing is that you're BACK! Well, ok, I do care about your setup but since I never planned a fully twinked Amazon, I really can't be much help here. That circlet of yours looks very sweet, but maybe a 1.07 Valk really is the better choice...

of course, you could also socket your helmet with a RJoF, but that might be overdoing a bit...

Hi All,

You know, when I was writing this, I had thought "If Nagisa or frozzzen will read this, they will probably tell me to use 'Enigma' and crazy amound of FRW and FCR and stick a 'Cham' into something". Shocker, I was right. Even after all these years.

Which just shows - might be the way to go. Expensive though. I'm seriously considering going with Trang's belt though for CBF instead and setting for 82-ish Pierce.

I don't have a crazy set of 1.07 skillers. I do have a crazy 27 MPK / 10FCR ring. I wish it had mana leech too. I think I want some mana leech and MPK, I don't think I'll get away with MPK only. Plus, nice to recharge with a multishot. Still, a valid option.

I really have something against using a Ravenfrost on this lady, don't know why. Seriously limits my choices, I will need at least one SoJ, me thinks. I can get freeze length off charms, easy. I don't need AR - 'Faith' autohits and otherwise first target is hit with elemental damage anyway, for those monsters where autohit doesn't work.

Dave - thanks for remembering about me and your offer. I'm too lazy and spoiled to try HC now - I only have a few hours to play a week. Good argument though. I'm thinking about it now
