Help!Fix my res!

I suddenly noticed my 87 MF Blizz sorc with really nice gear dies alot in hell if I run into magic stuffs like those invisible lightning guys @ baal runs.....
(I went base dex, high VITA)
My resists are:
-40 Cold/fire/Poison
-8 Lite

My Equip:
Tal's Amulet
Lidless with PDiamond
15% +3 Blizz Ormus w/ 5/5 facet
Arachnid's
Oculus w/ +4/-5 Facet
45% wartravs
40% chancies
2x SoJ
Shako with PTopaz
2x +1 Cold Skills GC
10/10/7 anni

100 Energy
89ish str (whatever it is for equip)
base dex
lots of Vita

+20 Blizz
+20 in 3 Synergies
+1 teleport
+1 static
+1 telekines, frost nova, and 1 other (Pre-req's)
+16 (and more as I go) CM

This build gives me 1200 ish HP, plenty of mana, and alot of damage. But my resists are bad.

Should i resocket shako and lidless with um? should i breakdown and buy a few +15 Res GCs? Should i replace my occy with a wizspike?

Best bet is to get a mosers and put 2 p diamonds in it. Put that and a wizzy on switch and you should be good. Use your original gear where ever there are hand to hand type monsters and switch to the other set when you are up against monsters that throw elemental damage at you.

Resi charms always help too. Since you seem like having a lot of inventory space, get as much resi charms (all sizes) as you can.

I'd suggest a 'safer' route and bring down your mf% down a bit and rely more on safety.

First throw your lidless away, and get a hi resi sanctuary.
Second you get a wizspike w/ ist so you still have 70fcr w/ mana.

You will be losing 20mf provided you ist your wizspike.

God this would be GREAT if you had ES...

Edit : You will be losing a lot of blizz dam this way, but I'd rather go this equipment rather than your old setup. Much Safer! :thumbsup:

Edit : Oh lol I thought your second wep switch was occupied by CtA... Your life was pretty high... Nvm go w/ Wizzy & Sanctuary on switch then.

I don't know if you want to get it, but a better Anni will add 10 more res (as you know) very simply... if you can pick one up with 20 res.

Other than that, resocketing is an option if you like your equip...

Blizz doesnt need facets to kill in 1-2 hits, so socket all your **** with Um/res jewels. My sorc uses Sur ss/coh/hoto and without any other res on other gear besides anni its over max all in hell.

Hmm... might you consider just switching the SoJs for Wisps? You lose 2 skill and a lot of mana, but you'd gain like 30%lit absorb, maybe 20+ mf and some Oak Sage charges... if you really want the mana back you could switch chance guards for Frostburn, but with so many points in energy that probably wouldn't be necessary.

Wizspike: 75 Res
Sanctuary: 70 Res
140 Res

Mosers: +25 w/ 2x Um +44 = +69 (can i get a 3rd socket via socket Quest? if so, scratch the unsocketed shako, and make it 3x Um for an extra 7 Res)
Shako: +15 = +74
3x +5 SCs
1x +15 GC = +104
= max Lite, and 60s for the others, while only effectively removing 1 row of Inventroy space

So: what I will do:
Resocket my Shako, Throw out my lidless, replace it with mosers', and have a 2x Ist'd ali-baba with a rhyme shield on switch.
Gives me goodish resists, and a good MF on switch still. Lose +1 Skills, 20FCR, and a bit of mana. Still works out pretty well.
