    Help about Cd-Keys

    Can someone help me?

I have my own legit Cd-Key but i lost my Cinematics disk.

So what i am gonna do is borrow someone else's Cinematics and install it, will that work?

Also if it doesn't work, if i totally use my friend's copy, can i somehow change the Cd-Key that was meant to be entered so that the one i am entering is my own legitiment one instead of his? I mainly want Battle.net to work...

    Thanks

You can use any CD to install the game from. Borrow your friends CD's and use your CD-Key. That will work fine.

A CD-Key is not linked to the CD-ROM it came with.

    Hope that helps.

Yes, my son used my play disc as his "teething ring" ...
I got a replacement from Blizz and there was no new CD key. I just threw my old disc away and put the new one in the CD case with the others.

You don't need Cinematics disc to install D2.

You meant even for the full installation? IF you don't need it for installation, that is so cool!

You can pick the middle/second option (whose name I forgot :) ), not the 'Full' third option. This does not install the cinematics, hence not need the Cinematics CD.

Why would you even go for full install? The movies are boring after a while...

Just a question ... if you don't do a full install, doesn't the game look for the cinematics disk while playing?
For example, I just beat an act and am on my way to the next one. When the movie normally plays on its own ... wouldn't the game then lock up looking for the disk?

    Just curious ...

No it says "Please insert disc labeled "cinematics disc" or something similar. Just click "cancel"
