it may be rude, vicious, socially unacceptable and weenie-like, but I never heard of it being against the rules or bannable, but you have aroused my curiousity, where do the rules state such?

If it is such a gigantic violation then it should be in the rules. I thought it was funny, and it's not like there was any private info I shared. And hell, one of the pm's I shared was MY OWN.
