Hello Friends, long time no see!

What's up everybody. I look at my account and my last forum activity was in 2013. I'm sure some of you might still remember me :D

Since I last played I got a new computer, changed my operating system several times, and now I'm running on linux. All my items from back in the day are lost, including Infinity, Death in a 1.07 ethreal base, and some other goodies.

Games on linux are sparse, and old games sometimes are known to work kind of okay. I bought a new copy of Diablo2 and LoD, installed those bad boys through Wine, and after about 3 days of fiddling, they work! I even managed to mule off an item using Atma! Guess I am officially playing Diablo2 for the foreseeable future...

I don't remember you from this forum (arrived too late for that), but if you are the same person as Pijus on the Amazon Basin forums, then I know you from that place.

Welcome back, enjoy your stay. Look around, join one of the tournaments if you like. Since you are starting over from scratch, may I suggest the untwinked 99er one?

O yes, and agree with @drmalawi . Get GoMule :). Much better.

I would also pitch the untwinked 99er tournament. Also, we have pretty regular farming based tournaments, so join those too! :D

I think my username on the Basin was the same. I haven't been there ever longer!

You know back in my day, we already did use GoMule. I tried using it now and it runs, but doesn't work correctly. I'm also having some trouble with the framerate in singleplayer. Although hosting a TCP/IP runs better. But Atma seems to still work, so I'm saved.

So far my most advanced character is an untwinked spear barb at level 31. Getting a WW capable weapon is going to be an ordeal!

Welcome back! I remember the 'tar for sure. As others have said, look into GoMule for muling if you can get it working. :)

Yes I am. It lets me play in a window and resize the window. Without Glide Wrapper the play experience in Wine is dire, to say the least. I think in windows, even if the game is locked at 25 fps, the mouse still moves at normal speed, and on linux(wine), the fps really affects the mouse movement.

Welcome back, pijus! I took a similar break, but the game keeps pulling me back...join a tournament, take a drink at the bar and stick around this time ;-)
