Hello Everyone "My Name is Brak"

Hello:wave: I come bearing baked goods, how bout green tea tiramisu for a change?

Been away from D2 for almost two years, but you can never really quit (playing off and on since I started my first Sorcerer almost 10 years ago). After returning and trying to find an active legit community on Bnet, I stumbled across this awesome forum. Have to say after using ATMA for the last couple days, and not having to deal with rampant duping and constant lagspikes, I will likely be a quick convert to Single Player. Not to mention the incredible hospitality of this board. I'll see everyone in the tourneys and hope to host my own in the future.

Thanks for reading

Hello Brak and welcome!

Others will be along shortly to do the usualy shin kicking, cookie giving and such.

Always good to see a new face! HC or SC? Any favorite builds? Books, Movies, SNES Games? etc.?

Check out the "Glass Canon" Thread and join that tournament as its going to be a blast and is just starting so you wont be too far behind!

Welcome aboard!

Ah yes, the infinite appeal of D2. You can put it down, you can uninstall the game, you can throw out your copy, but that special shortcut always ends up back on my desktop...

Non-D2 people just don't understand the feeling...

Welcome. Before I joined SPF, I didn't check out any other forums, but once I started reading here I realized that I didn't need to.

Kick back, check out the EMB, and tread fast around those shinkickers!

Welcome to the forum. Sorry I wasn't here in time to help with the shin kickers. Have been a little slow as of late. Read the stickies and watch out for the squid. Tell us a little bit more about yourself, favorite character class, where you live, etc., and you will get extra cookies from water_moon's goodie basket. Well worth the effort, trust me.

Stop by the EMB some time and have a beer on me.

I think it was the reptilian thing on Space Ghost.
No way man! That was zorak. Or whatever his name was. Brak is from another show, which I am obviously not familiar with.

@Hp_Sauce: Well you talked me into it, just started my zon. Mostly play SC, but tried out HC in prep for Skunkbelly's tourney. Might try delving more into HC as a result. Favorite builds is a tie between Singer barb as a pure support character and Zerk bark back when it was bugged so that your defense actually went up when zerking.

@Thyiad: I have no shins. I am actually a sentient fish with a waterproof laptop.

@damaris: pancakeman is correct, Brak was a character from Space Ghost, and was a sidekick on the talk show SpaceGhost Coast to Coast who's only line was "My name is Brak." I can still log in under my original forum count, but its been dormant for so long that posting privelages were lost. This is a new handle for me, thus I currently feel like I'm living a double life.

@pancakeman: lt's not particularly silly, is it? I mean, the right leg isn't silly at all and the left leg merely does a forward aerial half turn every alternate step.

@Fists of Legend: Favorite classes are sorc then barb. Just moved to Seattle this summer since the lab that I'm getting my degree in moved from Washington University to University of Washington (this distance is greater than it looks in text). I'm a Scorpio and I enjoy long...medium...short walks ....no just sitting on the beach. Maybe a little swimming. How many cookies does that net me? I can go on all night.

Wasn't Zorak the guy/robot thing from Space Ghost with the weird breathing apparatus?

I always wanted to comment on his 'tar but never got around to it! Joo beat me! such a funny skit! Infact it was possibly the funniest show ever! I have the Ministry of Silly Walks poster on my wall. It was a trade off, my Girlfriend gets to put up her Breakfast at Tiffany's poster and I get my Ministry of Silly Walks poster.

I'm also a big fan of the Singer Barb, I had one back in my b.net days. Haven't gotten around to trying to solo one in SP yet, soon though!

Edit: Oh, and glad you joined the Dex tournament!

Welcome, Brak!

You probably do not want to know this, but 'brak' has multiple meanings in dutch:

1. Singular past tense of break. As in "I broke a leg during my vacation. Fortunately not my own."
2. Having a somewhat salty taste. English term: brackish.
3. The state someone finds him/herself in after a great party involving large quantities of ethanol.

Which one of there are you?

Squids are food.

Hello Brak. Don't listen to that guy over there with the spears. He's a nutcase.

Sauce, it was indeed the funniest show ever produced by man. My personal favorite is a tie between the fish-slapping dance and Silly Walks. Every Saturday night, the local PBS station runs it, and I am glued to the couch.

@Brak
Well, I'm sure that with a government grant I could develop it into something quite silly.
