    Hello everyone, i'm new

Well, hello everyone, i recently discovered sp forum and i am glad that there are people who cares about sp.
I have been playing d2 and lod since they came out and rarely played on b.net because of bad connection so i stick with sp.
I'm from Turkey, 19 and I'm studying mechanical engineering.
I play unmodded 1.11 and my favourite characters are casters, especially sorceresses. I currently have a lvl 90 pure blizzard sorceress for magic finding. When I find all my desired items I will play with other caster types. I played with lots of characters back in 1.09, then stopped playing when 1.10 came out, and started again this summer.
    I have a question:
In the game files (thanks to ATMA i got these files) the base defenses of elite armors are displayed, but sometimes i find armors with a base defense of maximum+1. This happens mostly on rare elite armor, but recently i found the IK armor with base def. 601 and Leviathan with base def. 524. Both of these values are max+1. Why are these values like this?
I currently do not have connection and will not be able to post very often. So I'm sorry if respond late. I hope to post often when I get my connection (about 2 weeks later).

Welcome to the forum. Here is a pair of shin guards. They have goalie pads and 12" concrete blocks attacked. I know, they are a little heavy but, they do the trick nicely. Read the stickies and watch out for the squid. W_m should be along shortly to give out her patented goodie basket. I suggest you horde the cookies or someone might try to steal them.

You question on the base armor level been max+1, I have no idea why it would say that. Someone with more knowledge will have to inform us both.

Stop by the EMB sometime and have a beer on me.

Welcome! Here's you goodie basket of baked goods and squid repelant. Read the SPF FAQs; don't mind the shin kickers, they mean well; and enjoy your stay. Good luck with your degree (and connection) and here are a few extra cookies.

We all know good and well that shinguards are worthless. Shinkicks automatically hit and do max damage. Not to mention the fact that Fists of Legend merely gave him the shinguards... he never said he put em on. :wink3:

If shinguards are worthless, as you say, I don't understand why you would feel the need to report that no mention was ever made of putting them on. If they are worthless, putting them on or not would make no difference.

Furthermore, by suggesting that shinguards are worthless, you make Fists of Legend's offer to razgarok appear empty and worthless...

Perhaps you should PM Fists of Legend with your opinion...

The only reason he would not put the ShinGuards so gracefully bestowed upon him would be to avoid the no doubt massive stamina drain that would be caused by their sheer mass, hence I volunteer to part with my Tireless Ring of Transportation, in order to allow our brave new friend to venture forth in the SPF realm without horrible pain done upon his legs...

Ok, I must ask, when was the last time, if any, that any of you have handled, or held a 12" concrete block? If any of you have then you know the protection that they provide. I just recently, 2 weeks ago, finished tending for a work crew of 4, I'm one of the 4 and the tender, who put up 1500 12" blocks to build a basement under a garage. One of the last times I ever do this sober. If you have ever tended or let alone handled a 12" block, I sympathies with you.

Just remember, a standard 8" block wights 35 lbs. and a 12" block weights 55 lbs. and as a tender you will handle ever block laid. (You have to tend block to understand. If you haven't the I can tell you what it is like).

Over all, 12" block should be able to protect you from any boots with 2400 ED before they break.

Ok, they might provide some protection but they're too heavy to move in. You might as well be Jimmy Hoffa with a pair of cement boots.

Not to mention my boots are 2401 ED. Just enough... hoorah! :jig:

Well, thank you all for your replies. I should probably learn about shinguards and all the other things special for this forum.
LprMan, thanks for your answer about armors.

2401 ED RedArchon. Dang it! Now I have to develop a new pair of shinguard to combat your shin kicking boots.
