Hel Baal Problems

I take care of baals minions with ease, but the big guy causes lots of problems. Last time I went through a whole belt of full rejuves before he died and I don't like dropping to 1/2 life constantly. Trying to figure out what to do so he dies peacefully.

One thought is to switch out my mercs insight for a kelpie snare. I think 75% slow should help a lot. Other is to add crushing blow to the merc as he has none at the moment.

What do you think I should do ?

What build are you? Decrepify + Clay golem usually takes care of the killing power of any boss. Then it's 'only' a matter of killing it with whatever means you have. (Hence the build-question)

Have you got a Clay Golem? Slows Baal down a treat. That combined with Decrepify will reduce him to a quivering mound of jelly. You won't need Kelpie Snare so your merc can use a weapon with Crushing Blow (Hone Sundan for instance), which will finish him off most effectively.
If you haven't invested in Decrepify, let your merc use Kelpie but equip him with Rattlecage armour or Goblin Toe boots for CB.
NB - Skeletal Mages casting Cold and Poison are really helpful here. Baal is the easiest part of the WSK if you're set up right!

agreed with the others - decrepify (a 1 pt wonder and a sure boss killer) with clay golem. get a CB weapon for your merc - Hone Sundan was mentioned above, i also like the very economical Obedience runeword, and a Guillaume's face helm. Baal will die very quickly.

Clay golem + cold mage + Amp/or whatever curse you prefer..

Nobody on my necro's team packs CB, so I always run to the River of Flame, or the palace levels if I have to. It only takes three of them to get the job done. More is faster, but it's already a pain finding them in the first place.

I have mages, but they dont last for long. Maybe I did not have a cold/poison mage last time. I will make sure to get them next time.

I do decrep and drop a clay golem on top of him.

I will get udars or crushing blow for merc next time also.

As mentioned above clay golem+decrep+cold mages means baal is super slow. Most times that I fight him he is lucky to cast 1 or 2 spells before he dies. At least 1 poison mage is a must because it stops his fast life regen.

5 minutes? you soloing Baal in an 8 player game? Are you completely untwinked?With the revives I get from the throne room (council members and pit lords) he is lucky to last 60 seconds.
