Headstriker Question

Heya, this might be a stupid question, but....

i made my first zealot, and he's lvl67. i found a headstriker.. i put it on and because of my lvl, it's at 100% deadly strike.. after aura, str, equip, my total zeal dmg is around 2k...

the question is:

because of the 100% deadly strike, am i always doing double damage? ie, 4k?

and why does everyone love death cleaver? :scratch:
